Did I say it was dusty.... Most of the pics were in the field, the 8 miles of woods was crazy. The dirt was pounded & roosted out of the way so the traction was roots & more roots. Advil isn't enough, LOL I did say it was called the Chicken House Harescramble right???? LOL
It's a 2009 KTM XC-F 250 with an Athena 280 kit on it..... I bought it new in 2012. Fun little bike after riding 400's for 4 years
LOL..... Dietrich was in the chicken suit. It's a great place to race, just wish it would have rained the day before. The Carter Farm is about 3 miles away from Perry Mountain MC club, home of the Perry Mt. 24 Hour Race.
Went to this event, last weekend. They had the pro class for all the super fast women, and they had classes for us old slow gals, too. It was about 101 degrees out there, with lots of humidity. I spent all of my off-track time huddled in a shady spot, with a cold drink in my hand. Classic battle for 9th place, which I lost to an old friend who was riding my old KDX220 in the event.
One more from the D38 Pay-It Foward GP @ the Ranch in Anza, CA back in May. I don't think I've posted this oe yet.
This guy comes out to every race in the series I'm in and shoots video. Wish the stills were a bit less blurry, but huge thumbs up to the guy for being there every week.
Couple shots from Loudon during bike week this year, it was the first time out on my new bike. I separated my shoulder in a crash in July, so no more fun until next year.
Our club ran it's annual Jim Kelly memorial 6hr hare scramble on the weekend. I've run it as a team in the past, but decided early on that I was going solo this year. Although I've had a pretty lackluster season, I'm glad I went solo. It was my best ride of the year. Jim Kelly was one of our club's founding members in 1947. He's a legend in Canadian motorcycling, and died of a heart attack while competing in the 6hr in the 90's. Thanks to Al Gavin for the great pics.
Just out of impound at the start of Day 1 Idaho City ISDE qualifier 1JUN2013, sticking my route/time cheat sheet onto my bar pad. Day 1 number 79C, (1st place 50A at the end of day 1) (I was freaking out)
11MAY2013 the race i finished 2nd 45+ open on the 2013 TXC310R, while my engine was destroying itself........
