Yes it is very much an active issue with DOTARS and the ACCC, I spoke to them last week and was asked if I would be prepared to supply some real time data I have which I did last friday, it was mentioned you have all made your presence felt Hulskta, lodge a report with DOTARS setting out the problems you have, the link is below, where in NSW are you ? https://ncsf.infrastructure.gov.au/DepartmentofInfrastructure/
Anyone else have issues after their bike was checked with the GS911? Since the check my display wont change its function (trip, odm, temp etc) and my engine vibrates bad and what sounds like low rpm misfire/startle. Before the GS911 scan i had a sweet bike that would sometimes stall... now im not enjoying it at all.
Has the button resistance changed when you try to change dash functions? Breaking the plastic tab behind the function button is a common problem.
Update on potential Australian recall: DOTARS have received enough complaints/reports and are investigating the reported issues. A big thank you to all that have submitted a form. For those that wish to submit a form please follow process at the start of this thread. The wheels are turning but will turn slowly as this case will also require the input of the ACCC - please be patient a lot of work is happening behind the scenes - thanks to Paul C and Wayne C for their persistence, knowledge and time. What are the outcomes are we trying to get from this action: Initially the most recent update to the ECU software be made available to all owners (this is not a perfect fix but will rectify the majority of issues) Development to occur of the software beyond the current update as per BMW have done for the other bikes using the same ECU Ongoing diagnostic/programming support for at least 10 years Ongoing parts support for at least 10 years Thanks again to all that have supported this thread, stay upright and keep those complaint/report submissions coming
Yep that was it, i designed a new part and fixed it. Awesome! I did point out when putting mine in that im a learner and its a safety issue for me as ive had it stall twice now down gearing, first time i locked the rear but caught in time, yesterday i wasn't so lucky and dropped the bike
Added a report - Confirmation of Incident INC-2016-08-00130. To be fair my rides ok. I have had the odd stall when cold but didn't attribute it to anything. The servicing is more of a concern. I use my for commuting daily and have clocked up 50K's to date.
Hi all I m new to all this. Have just bought a second hand Terra. Have filled out the safety report. Love this bike,am selling my 800gsa as I figure that the Terra will give me all the adventure i need! I m at Lake Macquarie NSW and love riding in the Watagans, Im retired and can go during the week when there are not as many kamakazi's out there. Is there a progress report on the recall? Everyone who has lodged a DOTARS report, I am trying to look into something re the BMS-E ECU, on the under side of the ECU under the seat there is a label with Magneti Marelli and BMW part numbers, I want to see what numbers are on each machine, can you all get me pic's or numbers ?

Wayne I'm in NSW, down in the 'gong. The numbers are from the top line MBC1.A10 052 8533726-01 BC.0100666 Then below the barcode is: A2F0SWNAM 297 12 If there's variations of severity of stalling, i wouldn't say mine is bad.
Stuart, thanks, that is the first revision of hardware (not original vsn) and is the same as another here in Sydney, there was probably a ".D" suffix to BC.0100666 The number below the barcode is the serial number for your BMS-E
