Has anyone tried MPE at Caloundra? They have only become Husky dealers since the KTM take over so they never dealt with the red Huskys that I am aware of. The dealer I brought mine from no longer sells them so MPE would be my closest dealer.
They wont be able to help you. Ive already tried olivers motorcycles who started when ktm took over husky. They wont have the back up. Try the husky dealer at Caboolture
Ok. Thanks mate. Unfortunately Brisbane Motorcycles are no longer a Husqvarna dealer so I guess the one at springwood would be my next option.
I rang Northside Motorcycles in Sydney where I bought my bike from and got the replie "what recall we are no longer a Husky dealer, try ringing someone else ". Flicked !
True, thats who I spoke too. If I took it in to get a sevice or the valves checked he would have no problem taking my money, even though he's not a Husky dealer (Anymore). Cheers
I called Full Throttle Motorcycles in Slacks Creek last week and they said they were waiting for the packaging to arrive and should be good to do them by now. They have a working Moss tool as well.
Ive had the same no help from Sydney dealers , I think Ill just ride it down to Melby and get moto GC to do it, I bought it there.
Dahlitz Motorcycles in Canberra would be a lot closer and anyone who cant get support from Dealers in their area should let ACCC/DOTARS know
Had a chat to Dahiltz but hes not a husky dealer anymore so no can do. He suggested a new husky dealer in Canberra tho so Ill give them a call
Has any one through to go on the husk au site and ask whats going on? more so ask.... demand a full list of dealers to do the recall? point of this is that if there is no help from the OF Au husky web site this can all so be reported to the powers to be? Because so far it has been the people power E.g like this group? Open for any ideas?
Ecu's now have to go via Austria to save getting held up by Italian customs... Personally I would rather they sent them to MM in Michigan.
My bike is in the shop at Nowra, has been there for nearly 2 weeks now. On the up side, while I couldn't use the bike, I bought and fitted a seat concepts seat. If anyone needs an original seat cover and foam, let me know, free plus postage.
I'm very interested - previous owner was a short-arse and cut the seat foam down, it's like sitting on a bit of vinyl covered 4x2. I'll send you a PM
I have upgraded to the seat concepts as well and have the original foam but vinal is ripped free if you pay postage It's now been 3weeks and 1 day that Alessi motors in albury has had my bike in the shop for the recall and that's after the packaging was in there possession to send the ecu away for remapping Not happy Jan
Austrian customs can't be much better. Three weeks tomorrow and counting. I am starting to get worried that someone may have lost my ECU.
The fact they even have to send the ECU's to Europe shows how poorly they are handling the update, it could very easily be done on a PC in Oz using remote desktop for an MM engineer in the US or Italy to do the update, still the courier companies will like the revenue
