Ohmygewd, We have moved to Ringwood North. Bike is fully registered for NSW, but not sure if I will keep full rego when I transfer it over.

Anthony, thanks for the offer, I will take you up on that once we are a bit more settled.(And I do some research to find out where the hell it is!!)

LoL...from Ringwood you can head towards Big River and that area to ride or Mt Disappointment/Kinglake, Wesburn....plenty out your way all about 1 and bit from you.

As for reg, well you can either pay $400 for full reg but if you are only going to ride dirt in Vic, rec reg at $68 is a no brainer.

I live out Sydenham way so it's Wombat State Forest, Cobaw State, Tallarook and Kinglake/Mt Dissa for me....and l want to ride Anglesea again (been a while) plus Gellibrand.

Wombat State Forest ? Sounds like a great place to ride ...

How does Australia feel about tourist bringing bikes over for 1-2 weeks and then taking them back off the island when they leave? Is it expensive to temporarily import the bike or not?

    Hi Ray_Ray,

I have site for you too look at http://www.aaa.asn.au/touring/bringing.htm , as far as l know it's possible but whether it's too costly thats a different story. I know road racing that blokes import their racebikes over in a container, drop them off at the racetrack then back them all up.
Suppose if a group where to hire a container and load them up with your bikes then head off to Australia for a dirtbike tour....hmmmm l was thinking the same about heading to Canada and the States to do the same...

Thanks and alot of forms here but I finally found a place where a 5% of total value of an item was calculated ... Not sure if this was temp or permanent importing ... I'll keep checkin' ... Wine has its own tax ... U guys brewing UR own wine down-under?
