Well I bought one for my 09 TXC 510 and it works like a champ. Hey I road my bike down my driveway, got off, put the stand down, got my mail, and rode back up to the house. I couldn't have done it with out my Motosportz kick stand or a tree LOL. Great product and customer service.

I called the guys at Pro Moto Billet yesterday. The guy was friendly, but basically said "sorry about your luck... there's just not enough demand from the Husky owners, and the economy is bad enough that it's too risky to jig up a new design".

I really really like their product. If you all want them (like I do), I'd suggest burning up the phone lines.

Well, that's disappointing and slightly embarrassing after starting this post based on their people's info. Hope this doesn't deflate folks stuck with a shiiiity kickstand. I thought mine sucked but realize it doesn't suck as much as some earlier bikes from 08. I've learnt to find a rock, a chunk o' bark, level surface (yeah right) or a tree to lean it on. Has gotten trickier with the Rekluse installed. Love my Husky!!!

I wouldn't say embarrassing. Didn't mean to slam you down or anything of that sort. I HOPE that I just talked to an uninformed sales guy. I was all jazzed until the guy took the wind from my sails. :(

Maybe I misunderstood and it's the TXC only that they won't be producing a stand for. :(

I have a 09 TXC 510 and have the one from Motosportz on it. Will it fit the TE's?

I thought the Motosportz TXC kickstand only worked when there was no mounting tab. So if the mounting tab was cut off, in theory, it should work.

Hopefully Kelly will give input on this issue.

On there site tit says it will work on the TE if you cut the mounting tab off. I can tell you it's a very sturdy stand. It works in the dirt or asphalt. My best mod on my 09 TXC510.

I hear you It's also hard to hold your TXC 510 up and pick your grand kids bikes and them up at the same time when they take their little dirt naps. I got myself a kick stand. Call Motosportz and get your self a kick stand.

I received a similar answer today. I have sent Promoto Billet the link to this thread, perhaps they will read it. If you would be interested in a functional, lightweight, sturdy stand for your bike, speak up and perhaps we can convince Promoto Billet that they would sell enough units to make it worth their while to produce them.

If anyone lives close to Nampa Idaho, maybe letting them have access to your bike will help.

If we can get enough interest generated, I would be willing to attempt to arrange a group buy from PMB for kickstands for our bikes. I have no "in's" there or anything, but I'm willing to be the liason between CH and PMB.

I *MIGHT* even be able to convince my Husky Dealer to broker a the deal??? *hint*bobby*hint*bobby*hint*bobby*

We'd be in for one for the TXC 450.

I will definitely buy one from PMB if they make it for the TE.

My 08 TE stand is useless, I have to lean it on the telephone pole at work!

    So we've got what 2 TE's and 2 TXC's that are interested?

    TXC's

    Phoenix

    TE's

    xymotic

As you can see from the pics below, the bottom of the two different frames is very different. A PMB stand would most likely require welding on the TXC or cutting on the TE.

I hadn't piped up figuring to ge one when they came out. Sure hope they get made..........

I'm not sure how they'd even make one for the TXC... I would think there would either be welding, drilling/tapping, or a huge piece of metal running up to the subframe. Of course, I'm not a fabricator... so it's not really my problem how they design it. :busted: They're the experts,

It appears you are now "spearheading" this - good!

Please fill in the missing details as to the year each model is. My impression was there is a difference between the 2008 and 2009.

    1. 2008 had the pointy kickstand, made similar to earlier years (tube type construction)
    2. 2009 had the really nice billet looking kickstand that for whatever reason some people still do not like - possibly the angle of the mounting bracket, if so Pro Moto Billet will need that information to proceed.
    3. Please work with Motosportz and find out/confirm that their kickstand does indeed work with some of those models. I believe at least the 2008 TXCs and others (I don't recall details).

My TE 08 stand is almost useless. I think I'd be better off sometimes without it being on the bike, at least I would try to use it then. If I'm dirt riding I almost always look for a tree or rock to lean the bike on.

I ordered a 09 stand a few days ago to test an idea for improving its functionality on both the 08 & 09 TE's. I should have the parts next week.
