We put on the FMF single exhaust, took off the grab rails, passenger pegs, cleaned off all the tailight crap, installed TE511 wheel assemblys and Te511 complete front end with stiffer fork springs,1.8 lbs Ballistic EVO2 battery.Extended the shift lever a 1.5 in.And not as pretty after the poker run but Adam had a blast on the big bore making great time thru the woods,I chased him most of the day on the Wr150 ,what fun 30year old kid with 54 year old dad chasin each other thru the woods just like 20 years agao, what fun.@

How loud is the bike with the holes in the airbox and the single exhaust - scale of 1 to 10 with a 1 being stock and 10 being open pipe harley? Just removing the maze in the airbox and the snorkel make a lot more intake honk. I wound up putting the snorkel back on - I'm all for more power but I really like how quiet the bike is.

I would say it sounds about like a 610 with a Leo... not whisper quiet but a soft deep rumble. It passed me in the woods and I didnt notice the sound, although I did duck for the incoming dirt clods and rocks it throws .....

I ordered one of these from Hall's. Just tried it on my my TE630 - way too long. Must fit your bike because of the taller front suspension from the 511. It will NOT work on a stock 630.

Extended the shift lever 1.5"? I'll give you my first born if you can do that to my 630! And if you won't take children in trade I'll pay you!!

What I want is something to lower the rear brake lever, maybe as far as an inch.

Is there a way to make the 630 suspension taller? Aren't the 610's a little taller than the 630's

I think the 610 is taller. I also think the 610 suspension has a bit more travel.

    Bill,

What footpegs did you guys use? Also were any modifications required to get them to fit properly?

    Thanks

I swapped out my stock pegs for some 510 pegs. They're a direct fit.

The main issue with the 630 pegs is that they're designed with the rubber pads in mind. That gives you a higher foot position, putting the brake and shifter levers down where they're more natural feeling.

The 510 pegs do not have rubber pads, and sit a little bit higher than the 630 pegs. That puts the foot controls in a little bit better position, but I could still use a lower brake pedal.

So, that's accomplishing the same thing from a different angle. Raise the pegs instead of lower the controls.

Interesting, I'll give that a try
