    Bubble Canopy I suppose....

I'm an afficianado of all WW II fighters..... been around them and in them since I was 7 or 8..... my great Aunt Lu was in the WAAF? One of the first 8 or 10 women US Airforce pilots to ferry B-17's to England... my dad was in the Airforce ( electrician on RB57 Canberra's) and my parents were heavily involved in Airshow Promotion while I was growing up. I chose a different path and decided to hang underneath US Marine Corps Helo's for a while. Still love the planes though.

Since this thread is a bust.:D

My favorite configuration of RR Merlins has always been the DH Mossie.

I got to shake George Aird hand I believe back in 1984 when he ferried RS712 from Scotland, which was purchased by Kermit Weeks. George had a short stay over in Hamilton Ont. then headed South.
I hope I got the right...

Here's a short clip leaving Scotland.

    DH Mosquito RS712
    RS 712 today

HELO, High alt. low opening right?
    Goota love that military channel.
My involvement with warbirds came after i left a Boeing Subsidiary in Duarte and went to work with my ex high school sweethearts dad`s shop at Chino airport.
His name was Don Sakamoto and the name of his shop was called Pineapple Propeller.
    He rebuilt war bird props.
One project that we did was take Navy trakker plane blades and reprofiled them to work on P-51s.cool stuff!

It`s easy to get carried away talking about warbirds.
