On my ktm, I used a flathead screwdriver to pry them out.

I got a tall soft foam replacement from them and had it covered. I think it's better than the stock, but maybe not as much as I'd expected.

Unless you have some experience directly with what each foam feels like when you ride and how much if compresses v. stocker it's a bit of a guess as to which product will suit you. I do think it allows my feet to touch a little more, which was one reason I got it. These are tall bikes and even a 32+ inseam doesn't get your feet flat on the ground.

I also shaved my seat, and I actually find it more comfy than stock:thumbsup:

Just a thought, the SM450RR seat will fit. Not quite as low as the cut down ones here but we've supplied a few to customers who wanted a lower seat. Part no: 8000B1968

I like that contour. If I could do it again I would make the dip closer to the tank to help keep my weight more forward. That way on the fast bumpy sections I can slide my butt back. The way mine is when I try to slide back I'm right on the ridge.

I used an abrasive cutoff wheel on a die grinder. And a squirt bottle to keep it cool.

It's not expensive for a limited production part - UK price is £85.47 plus VAT.

We lower huskys frequently by shortening both front fork and rear shock thus avoiding the slow stering and chopper feal you get when you go the link rout. Give us A call at WER (908-637-6385) and I can describe the process.
