• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

rumor mill is spinning wildly about a SX/MX PED scandal.......

Lets see ...Thats the same excuse all the PRO football and baseball and cyclist and everyone else that gets busted for drugs use ...Must be a good excuse :) ...

Apparently, it does not matter ...He's still racing and please, allow the media to pump the excuses ...

Clown act continues ... And I'll try that unwatch control ....

I've "heard" that the substance was adderol (sp?), a common medication for ADHD. I still can't find it in any official reports, though, only the "adverse analytical finding of amphetamine". So it takes the FIM and WADA 2.5 months to tell Stewart he tested positive, and they don't say what it is, and that's how this drug testing BS is going to go? Really? I'm supposed to believe that Adderall gave Stewart an unfair advantage? What a bunch of crap, there has to be important details left out. Have to let it play out I suppose, but it will be a shame if one of the greatest riders the sport has seen, gets shunned over Adderall!
I personally will never question his accomplishments over crap like this, it better be something that realistically could give one an advantage before I'll take notice. For now I'm rolling my eyes at the FIM and WADA until they can demonstrate how an advantage was gained. Way to trash one of the sport's greats.

OK, I guess I will weigh in with my 2 cents. My opinion only and please take with a grain of salt!
my understanding of adderol is it allows someone to keep focused, to be able to keep on track instead of pinging off whatever.
With Stewarts riding lately, keeping focus under pressure, is it maturity or the adderol? If it is the adderol, could that be considered a PED?
Also, There is a procedure that will allow a PED to be taken if medically it is neeeded. I think it is called a TUE, Therapudic Use Exemption.
If he has been on this for a while, under a doctors orders, why was this not brought to the attention of the FIM?
Doctors can be manipulated into prescribing drugs that are not needed. There are a million examples of this.
What was he trying to hide? and why?
With the millions of dollars at stake, why would Suzuki and Stewart not talk about this before the testing begins?
Stewart alone is responsible for what goes into his body. The banned substances are known, not a secret.
Before I roll my eyes at WADA and the FIM, they did not screw up the test, I need Stewart to tell me why, and what, was taken and why was it not disclosed thru the proper channels/timing?

This is my take on things.

Interesting angle FDMX I had not thought of PED's that way, in a mental setting. The focus of PED'S has always been on physical attributes. Still, I think that's getting into a very intangible nebulous area that is hard to prove. Physical improvements are pretty easy, by comparison, to identify, and provable through repeatable results. But I do see your well-made point.

I still believe that it is poor form to label an individual with an infraction, yet withhold the specifics of the infraction. If they already waited 2.25 months, perhaps they should have waited a bit longer for the final verdict before dragging him through the public dumpster? Since it has no bearing on the AMA nationals, they could have waited to go public for however long was needed, up to the start of the next SX season. They might as well go up and slash his tires before the next gate drop in Tenn.......talk about getting mind f'ed!!

It had to happen, whether or not James is guilty is not the story. The story is what it takes to be the big winner in the USA market, there has never been room for second place because we don't care and when that happens people or riders rather will always push to the edge. Too bad this is happening and maybe we as fans and riders should look within you know did you have a good day riding even at the back of the line. Decoster will not let this happen in his camp for certain. No tests given for Folgers and Camels i hope.
