    I did the epoxy repair on the clutch cover, barrel was off when i did a piston and is ok still.
    I run Evans waterless coolant.

    Yamaha is the best Japanese for parts. Suzuki and Kawasaki you can forget about any parts other than plastic. I would consider Husqvarna and Maico having the best parts availability for restorations.

    Nice upgrade. Look for hairline cracks across the top of the axle clamps.

    Great price. I have cracked mine. Probably from over tightening them.

    I know that is true about some models but not all. There is excellent support for the TT500 engine series mostly because that engine became the SR400 and was continuously produce but was not imported into the USA until 2014. I have looked for pistons for 70's YZ 250 and 400 and find them not available from Yamaha and sporadically from Wiseco and Hot Rods.
