That's my thought exactly and I don't how much longer I'll be able to get one. I called my shop who said they have about 12 on order and all but 2 of them are already sold and he doesn't know if or when he will ever get any more. He said they will not be in for another month or two and will be listed as 2014 models.
I heard no more were coming into the States, and no more will be made. It would be great if more were around.
Had a testride yesterday here in the Netherlands and the dealer told me that a new batch of TR's will be produced in June/July. OK, that does not say anything where they will be sold.
Switched around some stuff, sent Wolfman some more $, and here's the end result. That's a small expedition duffle with all dry stuff in it, the tent and related wet stuff is in the renegade duffel tied on the back. This is working well for my riding, I like where it sits on the bike. There's a lot of straps in there, and I wasn't sure how I'd like how everything would work, but the initial two night test was a big success. Once you get the hang of the stuff just works.
I'm also working with Wolfman testing their latest camp product. I can't tell you the product name, or show it to you in packed form, but here it is in the field.
" I got a motorcycle and a sleeping bag." Also, how the hell are people getting 70 mpg? Do you ever accelerate? I run the piss out of mine and it stays over 50 which I am fine with. To get an additional 20 just seems like you'd have to baby it to the point of boredom.
V....I am a big mo-fo and I average 50-55 mpg between tanks. Recently I went on an all day (nearly non-stop) adventure 2-up with the ol'lady and got right at 75mpg. I refuse to believe it and I keep telling myself that I forgot to reset everything at the beginning of the ride...BUT...I religiously watch my mileage and am 99.9% sure the reading is correct! We are doing another long ride soon and I will update you at the end. Until then....I am with you! Too good to believe.
Sadly it seems like it will be quite some time before I will be equipped to display a picture, though I endeavor to accomplish bike camping soon.
Well I emailed Eurosport Asheville to see if I can get on the list to purchase a Terra if/when he ever gets enough to fill the existing orders. I'll be following this thread carefully because if I do get one I may be camping out for quite a while once the wife finds out.
How does the Terra do on the highway all loaded down? I've ridden one without any equipment and it was fine on the interstate, but I wasn't sure how bags and extra gear would affect it. I like riding the backroads, but unfortunately, I have to hit the interstate a fair amount when I go on long trips. I would love to hear feedback from the owners. Thanks in advance!
I've got one on order with Eurosport Asheville. I called Husqvarna NA yesterday and they said that there were bikes stuck in customs in the US right now, but they could not give me an estimation on when they would make it to the dealerships. Kind of frustrating, prime riding season, money in hand, and can't get the bike!
Makis, Where are you located? I'm in Greensboro and also have a TE511 and maybe a Terra soon as well.
I use Giant Loop clones(nomad rider) that totals out to maybe 45lbs with all my gear and quite honestly, I don't even know its there off road, on road, or scooting down the Super Slab doing 70mph.
