silicon hoses ...CV4 vs China ?

I will never use waterless coolant, the reason is it's thicker than the coolant I use and we did a few tests with the stock impeller it was causing cavitation so instead of being pumped around the system it was a thermal syphon.
That is what caused a friend bike to over heat.
Could well be the issue in the orange hose case.
Also it could be a faulty batch after all nothing good has come out orange!

Info, The new red ZipTy XF2 is almost as liquid as water or at the least like a standard 50/50 coolant mix (Chad Reed's 22 Motorsport was using the ZipTy XF2 product). and the new Evans power sports coolant is also a lot less viscous than the old original version, visibly so, I used the original and it was syrupy looking. Its worth taking a second look, as the tech progresses. As stated above fast easy flow is the key to keeping heat under control.

go with professional level quality brands is the answer (CV4, Samco, etc). You can easily see what the pro teams are using, use those product lines, race teams don't risk low quality stuff. If the Pro quality brand is rupturing further system investigation is probably a good idea.

PS FYI only- my TE300 system uses OEM 1.8 rad cap, OEM rads, OEM louvers, EE rad guards(open frame type, lightening hole drilled), ZipTy XF2 coolant, CV4 Blue hoses and a billet machined Checkpoint-offroad impeller (nice piece)

my TXC450, TE310 and TXC310R all used CV4 hoses and waterless coolants first Evans/ ZipTy XF1 and then XF2, all were bullet proof in the cooling system dept.

Just wanted to bring something up regarding the profactory hoses. They are made in the US not china and are priced between the cv4 and chinese ones

all those comments are from amateurs.......very annoying to hear the "not worth the price bullshit thought process......we deal with unqualified/sneaked into the inventory counterfeit parts all the time now, most are from Chinese counterfeiters. DO you want substandard parts on your racing machine??????
Parts that may not only cause DNF but may cause injury.

Or how about this which is my world case-that my engineering office deals with--do you want to fly in an aircraft that has been filled with unqualified un traceable components, that when tested to the proper spec-- fail miserably???????
Put whatever the F you want on your machine to save some money, I will stick with the professional grade stuff.
Spend 10K on top tier full bred race bike----and skimp on crappy single weave, unqualified material hoses ?? really??? F that. That time I did not mince words.....stupid amatuers-----PS besides the quality---think about the company- CV4, Samco and the others these guys are made at "home" by domestic workers and their companies support the sport and the sports aftermarket.

I agree Robert and I like things sorted before doing anything. That said... One should know if any product is good and not trust blindly. Granted hoses and comments you reacted to I agree with you, but... Products can be defective and It behooves all privateers to do their own diligence even from supposed "big names". It comes down to the person making that product and how good a day they are having or a possible blem in materials, etc... I trust nobody on a personal race bike and I trust no manufacturer to have things 100% today.

Man that's bs yes I'm an amateur, I have had pro brand stuff fail on me I've had cheaper stuff fail on me to.

Taring every non brand with the same brush is harsh.
Buy cheap or expensive no bother too me it's your coin, but before you say the hoses or anything for that matter are rubbish on my bike you have to question if they're rubbish why are they still performing to my mediocre level an still on my bike???????????

no comment refuse to turn this into he said this and that--use what you choose and enjoy the ride. PS the Gates style type OEM black hoses are quite possibly better quality than all these other ones, OE has lots to lose if their hoses start failing......we just always want to look cool.

I'm runnin the chinga red silicone hoses for past 30(maybe more can't remember) odd hours n no probs at all. Had 2 sets of oem hoses n both leaked at impeller outlet barb n bottom rad barb no matter wat I did-sanded barb/rotated clamps/different clamps/silicone.

In sayin that if I dropped $10-$13K on a new bike I'd probably buy brand name but the wr300 is jus an old shitter more or less now. I say that affectionately tho!

Hose rupturing without the rad cap blowing off steam?? That's 1.1bar about 15psi ? Something's wrong in that system.
