I wonder how the Q4 I have compares to the 4.1 if I take a long drill bit and get rid of the internal baffle that is about 4" from the outlet. I may have to find a drill bit extensions or something of the sorts.

I wouldn't drill it, keep it quiet.

Is it really "robbing" that much HP is my curiosity question.

It does, but you won't be able to modify a Q4 to a 4.1 performance. Vice verse, you cannot modify a 4.1 to be as quiet as a Q4 and I am not sure you want that.

I recently installed the TC Air Box in my TE511, with the 4.1 and megabomb header, man this thing is really loud. I now need to wear ear plugs

Haha, no. I just didn't want you to modify such a wonderful quiet silencer. The 4.1 is loud and really needs the quiet insert with the spark arrestor of course :D

I'm ready to sell my power core muffler and drive up the street to Curtis Sparks and have a real muffler put on ... . Just can't get a good do all exhaust from FMF . The Sparks can on my 450 r is quiet when compared to the power core and freaking perfectly laud on top :) Sound better than them all and it has a chromed down tip lol

Ah ok lol. I guess I would need to hear the 4.1, I have not heard it on the 511. Heck, I have not seen another 511 on the road except for mine.

Can ZipTy Racing do this for me? I would like the Megabomb + 4.1 with spark arrestor and quiet insert.

In order to put the megabomb on your TE, you will need to order for the TC449. Megabomb, 4.1 & oem mounting hardware. FMF stopped making the header, so you will have to hunt around to find one, don't wait too long to do so.

I believe I have managed to order the TC 449 Megabomb and 4.1 from FMF. I'll be calling Husky and Moose for the other parts. Thanks again!!

Don't forget a quiet insert with spark arrestor. You won't be disappointed with that system. :)

    Slightly off topic....
The sound quality and DBAs really are getting better. I sound checked 300 bikes at the Funky Chicken last weekend and very few were pushing the 96db limit. Ive been doing this for 4 years and this is the first year where the bikes were almost all quieter than required (expect the ancient CR500 and KX500 that showed up....I laughed...ya know we got trees out here, be careful). Even the big 4 strokes are now now under control...the latest Akra's being the best sounding, but a 4.1 with SA/insert is quite mellow....

Shocking, but dirt bikes are finally becoming respectable

the Q4 does improve power over stock, and while I think its loud I personnally would not want any louder,as it would be with the 4.1. the FMF q4 with map 3, and stock airbox is a great setup. not full race but runs great.
