Well, I think you are already a being man...LOL I'm thinking you're right.

So who has a good proven jetting setup for a 2015 TE300 elevation 600-1200' I read the threads and am even more confused now. Guess I can call Halls Saturday to get the no BS solution. So many needles and jets makes me want to call Lectron...

In the CycleNews interview a few months ago, Pierer said major redesign for enduros will be MY2017. No specifics, but I would bet they'll lose 7 pounds off the 4Ts, and the husky bodywork will be like the 2016 MX models. 4CS (if not AER) will still need tuner help!

I'm calling into a couple of dealerships today to leave snail trails on seats...again :p

Last time they did suggest, as you say changes to be expected but didn't know or couldn't say specifics.
He did strongly suggest fuel injection was on the cards.
When I asked if they'd be moving on from the supposed problematic 4cs he denied there are issues and suggested people who say there is don't know what they are talking about...no offence should be taken since he wants to sell me a MY16 TE300 of course

If I bought the used one (56hr/2100km) for ~$9k I'd afford to do upgrades, set up and rebuild, new rego and still have change to ummm spend on my cash pit 89 WRK250 ha-ha

This 'what to buy decision' is tough for me. I don't plan on ever selling a bike unless I got such a bargain I'd recoup money. So if a new one it'd become family.

If its true about FI for MY17, there's my choice. Stick with old school carb or move with the greentard driven times...and complexity

On a 2 stroke I think I'd rather have a Lectron than conventional fuel injection but direct injection would be sweet if they are anything like the snow machines and outboard engines.

I scored a low hour 2014 TE250, saving $4-5K over new and having to buy all the extra hardware, and I love it. Having owned two 300s, and 2 200s, this bike is the sweet spot. I am still dialing it in, but it doesn't need much. I do have an SX head to install, and will be going up one tooth on rear sprocket. They just don't make bad bikes anymore.
You can change the character of all the 2 strokes, but you can't dial out vibration on the 300 is that is an issue for you, and you can't bump up cc's on the 200. The 250 can be a 300 if you desire it, but I bet with proper jetting, gearing and a head mod you will be very happy.

2015 TE300 . i'm a fat ass and a 300 would suit me best and buying a leftover usually keeps a few bucks in your pocket so you can purchase some needed accessories.

Same dealer sells KTM and Husky. I bought the bike that had the better deal. No toaster, but I may ask about some underwear.:D Skid plate thrown in and it was still less than the TE. For the type of riding I'll be doing, it should suit me fine. Bottom line is the darn 4CS forks, just not willing to dump a ton into another set.
Pictures to come. The bike is being prepped.
