I own a wrecking yard and a Body Shop We do a lot of rebuilders salvage title vans #1 all the way for me and many many of my custermers is a ford E250 or 350 period The standard 2 value 4.6 or5.4 will go 200k plus miles no problem the trans no problem up to 200k miles Gas mileage 18 with a 4.6 17 with a 5.4 on the cheapest 87 octane regular gas We have repaired many wrecked ones and even with 50k miles I give a 1 year 100 present bumper to bumper parts labor and towing warrantee I would not do that with any other brand Then factor in cost of ownership change the oil and drive it that is my opion after doing this for years and hundreds of vans So you see I like the ford e350 1992 to 2014 Now the new Transit I still would rather drive a 14 and older one Heck the new transit is all unibody NO Frame where you put a trailer hitch bolt it to sheet metal You east coast guys will see them rust like a sprinter
My 70 Ford Econoline continues to faithfully serve me to this day. Why sell a classic made of real American Steel?
I sold my uncle RB's 75 Econoline with 675,000 miles which 95% were on crappy Baja roads at 90 mph.... drove better than many newer trucks... He had just put the 3rd engine in it....
Do you have a website with inventory of finished vehicles or do you only rebuild them per specific order placed by customers?
since I have been here over 25 years we seem to have a standing order from a full list of custermers that have pre ordered Trucks and Vans then those custermere seem to want a few cars for family members So bottom line call me tell me what you want and your price range and we will try to fill the order thanks john 760 275 6424
I've always wondered why pick up trucks are used for utility in the US. In Europe they are mostly a fashion statement and the load bed is not big enough to haul anything significant anyway. Even though the US pickup trucks are huge, they still offer less load space than a van and leave the cargo exposed to the weather and potential thieves. Over here the first port of call for utility is a van, I can only remember a handful of times I have seen a pickup with anything in it. They do look a lot cooler though.
