• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Stewart Joins Yoshimura Suzuki

Not really a fan of his anymore , don't see the drive he once had... But that being said I don't see anyone who can compete in the outdoors with him unless Canard comes back.. I think he can take Dungey... it's a shame RV2 is out

Dungey is not getting enough credit just because he doesn't ride out of control and take guys down in the turns. Look at his record, which would be even better if in 2011 his suzuki had not broken a chain, flat tire and run out of gas. He even won SX races on a KTM, who has done that? He may not be able to lay down a fastest lap like RV or JS but he is a smart racer that I guarantee will(and has) win races head to head with anybody RV included.
Stewart will do fine on the suzuki although he is much better in SX than outdoors. I doubt he went there for the money, I don't think Suzuki has any.
Barcia will be a player.

I think Dungey get's alot of credit. Actually even better than credit he gets results, the guy knows how to ride just fast enough to stay on the bike, almost every time. The problem is IF...and that's a big if, Stewart can stay on the bike for the whole race, and maintain the speed we've seen in the past, Dungey just cannot run with him lap for lap. Of course times are changing and we're all gettin' older so we'll see what happens.

Oh and Barcia will be on the 250 for MX, he doesn't start his 450 ride until SX.

Yep, too bad on RV2 ... That was the season ...Haven't hear anything on TC ...

Stew did just loose his ride and for some reason he is racing the outdoors ... Maybe he just saw the light and it was a train coming ...

With only RD5 looking to push him, js7 should have an easy season ... But expect a crash or two from him :)

This MX season is RD's to lose. Bubba has been toast for years. You can't come back from being away and unfocused for that long. How many random races did Travis Pastrana attempt and not even make the main? I like Bubba much more than RD. In fact, I don't like RD at all!! But with RV and Chad out he has no competition. Folks that mention Brayton and Alessi are delusional. I wish Bubba the best but it ain't gonna happen.

You could be right .. RD did whip him 2 years ago in js7 Clown attempt at qualifying for the MXdN ... Stew is championship-less since ... 2009?

But I can't see Stew actually settling for 2nd ... He'll crash 1st before he finishes 2nd in the championship ... Stew never practices starts? He'll have to come through the field each week? Sweet!

Given the decimation of top riders, it could be good timing for a wild card TC450 attempt. Maybe one of those 250 guys would like to take a crack at a big bike!! Even an occasional holeshot would be good news at this point.

Bubba will crash. Indoors or outdoors. No matter what his mount.... Until he screws his head back on... straight.

Has KTM ever won a US MX championship? This should be the first real chance to make it happen and maybe stay on top for years.
KTM found the right rider and others should follow.

As much as I'm not a KTM fan it is impressive that they built a brand new bike and it's working well. Yes, this will be KTM's first Nat'l Championship in MX or SX. If they can turn this into sales on the track (not the woods) then I could see other top riders following suit.

This will be a good test of "win on Sunday, sell on Monday".

I think JS can win, probably will not but has the potential and only one obstacle on the track to overcome (RD). The bike is proven so all he needs to do is ride at 97% and it is his for the taking. Maybe he will get the right direction from people at Yosh and make it happen. He does have the speed. As far as KTM it is not like they are new to this show and have been working for a LOMG time to get here. Grant Langston won a lot for them as did Alessi's and did lots of development. The time is now. Should be interesting.

At least he is on a real track and not at home doing whips for a whirly-bird camera ... And now, he seems like he is trying to only bash the bike now and not the team owners who have the $$ bags ...

Did he explain why no MX racing since 08? ... lol

-----------------------------------

But before all that he has decided to race the 2012 Lucas Oil Motocross Championship for Suzuki. For free.

I missed the line above the first time through ... After reading it, I gotta say .. Someone has gone off the deep end ...

I knew Suzuki had no money, why else would metcalfe be the number #1.
James is so frustrated by his performance of late he may turn that into a burning desire to win which is what he needs.
