Wow! that made a Strada more of an interesting bike to own having seen your setup!
I like the Terra but was kind of concerned about the front wheel as I ride a GS 11 with 19" and 17" wheels. I also test road a KTM 990 and that was all over the place on bends. The Terra was OK but you could feel your limits. Nice one!

Thank you for the pictures and imformation regards the tires. A question for you. Have changed anything else or just the tires? Springs bike set up etc. I bought a starda about 5 weeks ago. Love the bike, but being short 5ft 7 and short legs am fitting a lowering link and have also have coming a seat concepts foam and cover set. The standard seat for me is just to hard. I find the standard tires okay on the road but on dirt or gravel need more control.
    Regards Brian

I just finished 1400km in 3 days on my Strada. Need to do something about the hard seat, and I may soften up the suspension a bit, though a nasty section of about 200km did a bit of that for me. I've done several 350+km days. Overall I really don't mind longer hauls on it. I love being able to tackle any road here in Oz. still running the stock tyres, but will be switching to 50/50 dirt tyres... Likely the Mitas E07's. Friend with a Terra and many other bikes swears by them. I've done a bit of dancing about off road with the stockers, so the knobs will be welcome.

What made you go with the 09's?

Been thinking about a ride up that way. Prob a bit hot to do until June or so but I may look you up when I do it.

I went with the eo9's more out of desire then need, and they look good. I will never ride this bike hard offroad, and the body probably wouldn't handle it lol.

Give us a shout out when you are up this way, plenty of room for a fellow TR rider at mine.

Thanks, mate. Same here. We have a big place with plenty of rooms.

I plan on some fairly nasty off road stuff, so I'll be going e07. Looking at an east-west continent crossing later this year.

Engineer K9, they are still on the alloy rim of the Strada.

Did a dirt trip on the weekend up to Taree for the TBC. Was approaching 9,000k on the stock Saharas. About 50k from Taree got a flat on the front. Rode it flat for a few k's to catch the group. No hole to be found anywhere so pumped it back up but had an out-of-balance from about 90km/h upwards.
The tyre held pressure all night but I decided to take it to the bike shop for a new front.
What we found was interesting. No hole but due to running the tyre flat, the tube sleeved over itself & stayed that way when I pumped it up causing the balance problem.
Anyway, decided to splurge - E-07f, K60r, & new heavier tubes. So far very impressed, however the high speed front end weave has returned. The stockers caused it when they were new also. Seems it's caused by a smaller contact patch of new tyres?

I suggest you experiment with tyre pressures, looks like you're only a few kilometres up the road from you
Do you use Weaponry in Mona Vale?

I'm putting about 28-30psi in the front. Would you go lower? What pressure?
Yep, lived in & around Narra for quite a while.
I do most of my own work but have used Weaponry for stuff out of my league, eg. head & dyno work. Know Steve & Titch pretty well.
I'd like to see your bike...

Depends on where you ride. Gravel and two track I use 30 Psi (2.06 bar) in the rear and 15 Psi (1.03 bar) in the front. This gives great grip on gravel, rock, and sticky mud. Gooey mud....nothing works well.

On the Tarmac I use 32 Psi (2.20 bar) for both.

I'd be scared $h!tless of running 15 on the front. Last weekend I had to hop over half a dozen fallen saplings. With 30 in the front it does drift a bit but I'm getting used to steering it with the throttle a bit more. It sure does feel lke a light bike when you're going.

I do virtually all my own work, contemplating doing a dyno run, out of curiosity
Went for a test ride this afternoon, more interested in how the Iridium plugs performed

My Karoo 3 front is 28-30psi road & 25psi dirt (gravel roads) my K60 rear 36psi road & 30psi dirt

I'm researching tyres for my next big ride, 10,000klms round trip, on one set of tyres be good
Looking at E-07 or K60 rear (I've not found a Mefo stockist) still looking at fronts (E-10, TCK80, Kenda Big Block) possible contenders

The bike has far more capability than my skill level, the faster it goes on dirt the more it loves it

Without a rim-lock I'd be very cautious of running anything less than 20psi
