I have one and really like it. The wider foot pegs was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. The bike fits me better now.I have the 1" kuba links and trax box's. I stand on the stand lever grab the foot peg mount, push my knee into the pannier and it pops right up. The stand is up high and out of the way when up. Chain maintenance is a snap now.

The wider pegs are appealing to me as well. Are you on a Terra or a Strada?

This is something I hadn't considered. Strangely, after a broken hip a few years ago, I now look for skinny bikes. The wider, the more uncomfortable for me. This is why I never rode my '73 CB750.

This might have just sealed the deal of me not buying a center stand. I'm glad you mentioned this, as I never would have thought about it.

(And no, I'm not old. I broke my hip at 26yo. I really don't recommend that for anyone.)

Which is precisely why I put one on Moe.
I had to bend the LH mounting plate so that it would retract smoothly (it was off by a few degrees), but with that done, it works a treat.

I have the Terra.....The wider foot pegs made the bike not so pigeon toed....I used to have to slide my feet in like the pegs weren't straight below.....now it feels more where they should be. O by the way mine bolted up with no fuss.

I'm STILL fighting the battle with twisted throttle. Their support has been absolutely terrible (i've worked in support for years, so I'm judgmental).
I finally got someone to the point where they will replace the kit IF I can prove that it doesn't fit like I've showed here. I've sent them probably 5 + pictures now and they're still struggling..

As far as the brake line fitment, it really doesn't change anything. It "should" be a bolt on and go, worry free thing.

    Blaine,

Please don't take offense, but you know there's a 50/50 chance that the clearance issue is not with the MoTech part. One of the hats I wear at work is that of a Manufacturing Engineer. All assemblies have tolerances and the tighter the tolerance, the more expensive it is to produce. If every feature on the frame (or the MoTech part for that matter) were held to let's say +/-.005, I'm sure the price to manufacture would quadruple. In your photograph, you appear to have less than .125 interference. I'm going to ask Santa for one of these stands for Christmas. If I have a fitment issue like you're experiencing, I won't hesitate to shorten the bolt. You don't gain any strength or holding power from the bolt protruding past the threaded hole in the bracket. I say, install that rascal and start enjoying it. I wish I had mine now.

    Same problem here, exactly.

I shimmed up the bolt with some washers as a temp fix, will probably shorten the bolt eventually.

It's not a tolerance stack issue, but a design problem.

Blaine let me know your resolution.

Otherwise it seems to be a nicely done accessory.

Here it is complete with center stand and top case.

Slightly off topic: THe SW Motech Monokey adapter parts fit nicely and allow me to move the top case between the TR and the Multistrada. THe top case has an Admore LED strip it in which is a very nice addition, I plan on getting another hardness so it will work with the TR.

This set up will hold my laptop/lunch and work nicely for commuting. For offroading I will probably revert to an old soft case to reduce the lever arm.

Also I have the Ricochet skid plate, no interference issues at all with the center stand.

Mine's on my way back to twisted throttle tomorrow. They're going to "compare" it to other kits and then determine if I'm eligible for a swap out.
They seriously would not believe me despite all the pictures.

Does anyone have one of these installed on a bike that has a 1.75" KoubaLink fitted? Any difficulties lifting the bike onto the stand or retracting? Good to know there's no fouling with a Ricochet bash plate. Cheers

I have a 1" kuba link and you have to give it a good tug to roll up.....It is getting easier as I get use to it

I have the Motosportz skid and I mounted the center stand with no issues at all (except for the double spring return - My thumbnail is black and blue from the spring snapping back and hitting the nail ;-) I Iagree with you on the Red loctite - Wow those bolts were a mess to get out.

Just a quick update. After a month long battle with Twisted Throttle, they're returning my stand to me. Their conclusion? Husqvarna has inconsistencies in the manufacturing process so that right foot peg bracket isn't the same on all the tr650s.....their solution? I should go out and buy a spacer or shorter bolt for a product they're selling.
I'm never buying from Twisted Throttle again.

Nope. My last reply to them was that if they were going to send back the stand with out a replacement or the proper parts to fix it, I want a refund. Pretty sure they already shipped it.

I would at least let the company that made the stand know what is going on, this link might work, it is the Contact Us link on the SW Motech site

I did see a couple of unhappy people reviews of twisted throttle on yelp, but then again, everyone likes to complain on the internet when things go less than perfect and rarely reviews good experiences.
