Holy Frankenboots! I went home for lunch and put my MX boots and Asterisk knee braces on. This is my first time riding in MX gear, coming from a street background. These babies are STIFF. I can shift ok, but can't feel the click of the gearbox, which will take some getting used to. I also stomp down on the rear brake harder than normal. The knee braces are very well made; I'm glad I sprung for them.

Same here, 106 after rejetting and LV exhaust then I put on a 908 Rally Raid and lost several mph . Avoid that tire at all costs, it's way to heavy for the 610 and and performs very poorly. After I put on the 17" SM set up with the light weight Conti Sm tires and dropped one tooth on the rear it maxed out at 116. (that is of cousre laying down on the tank in a full racers tuck).

I took the 908 off after about 500 miles and gave it to a friend with a 990. I HATED that tire. Other people here like it, but why escapes me completely:excuseme: HHHHHATED IT!!

Oil leak update - Hall's is sending me replacement parts for everything outside of the oil pump. I'm also going to put a bead of Permatex on both sides of the gasket before I put it back together again.

The oil leak is frustrating. But, it's not keeping me from riding and Hall's has been very quick to send out parts and hasn't charged me a dime for them.

My 600 mile service is due, which includes a valve clearance check. I do my own work, have the shims on hand, and will hopefully get it done before Saturday. I have a group ride planned that I'd like to attend. But I'm not willing to go very far over my service interval to do it.

I take that back. I just discovered, when stripping out all the non-english pages from my copy of the manual, I forgot to include the appendix. I have updated the file on my server and added the appendix. So, if you want to get an updated copy of the manual, feel free. The procedure for downloading the file is the same. The file name is "TE-SMS 630-2011_MUM.pdf"

I'll keep the server up for a while so nobody misses out.

Been waiting 3 months for my te630. Shipped last Friday with an ETA of this Friday. The only thing is because of some mix up it's being shipped to the wrong city 425 miles past where I live. The truck stops at the local depot a mile from my house on it's way to final destination and I have been trying since yesterday to get it redirected to no avail! The truck will be @ the local depot tomorrow morning approx 9:30. Words cannot convey how pissed I am
Next step is to go to the depot in the morning and lay in front of the truck until they unload my bike.

Mine was done through JC Motors and went very well.

I'm a software developer for a trucking company and we take calls to redirect freight at the last minute all the time. I don't know what the problem is with the folks that are shipping your bike. That sucks.

Made about 10 calls and each time they said it was being taken care of but still not resolved! I mean like you said. How hard can it be! Their offices open @ 6:30 AM my time so I will have one last kick at the cat. If I don't head it off it will probably early next week before I get it. And I'm on vacation after thurs! Sucks!

We can send messages to our drivers directly and the messages are delivered to an in-truck computer system within 15 minutes. It's sort of like email. They all also have cell phones if we're in a hurry.

I checked my valve clearance, with about 650 miles on the odometer. Everything was in spec.

Now that I've done it once, the subsequent checks should be easier. It's a tight squeeze getting that valve cover off, though.

I have some ideas for cutting the stock black fender off into something shorter. I don't know when I'll get the chance to do it, though.

Do it before it breaks off and you lose it. Mine fell off, luckily my brother was behind and told me. I put an Enduro Engineering plate holder on, just attached it to the white fender. It's not as robust as I would like, but I don't plan on crashing...

Here's what I'm thinking about doing. I'll start with a pic:

Basically, I want to take the black fender and dremel the excess off of it, following the lines of the white fender that's inside of it. If anyone doesn't know, the white fender extends into the black plastic, all the way to the top of the license plate light.

What I'd end up with is a black fender that just covers the white fender. I would also be removing the license plate light. Not a big deal, I rode without license plate lights for years around here and never got a second look.

I would then bolt the license plate bracket onto the upper black plastic part (the part that is covering the white fender).

What's left of the fender would then be holding the turn signals and license plate, that's it. It would be a good 8-10" of black fender, gone.

Was the valve like the 610 with jam nuts and screws or like the other 4st with a clip to remove, slide the cam follower (if that is what it is called) then remove shim?

Like the other 4 strokes, with the clip and shims. Just like your 250 video.
