I finally got some riding time in on the TXC 250 since adjusting the TPS per raisrx's instructions. Mine has the full Leo Vince Titanium system with the new ECU from Husky hard parts. Tim's adjustment made a very noticeable difference in throttle response. The TXC is now much closer to the "snap" of our 2010 TC 250. I'd recommend this mod to anyone with the 2010 EFI bikes. It's easy to do, and easy to reverse if you don't like the results. Thanks Tim!
No Problem Krieg, again I am not sure if this is the right thing to do but like you I did like the improved throttle response. A friend who has a 2010 TXC 250 with re-flashed ECU thought my bike had better throttle response but at the expense of easier to stall. I don't have any issue with stalling while I am riding it but I am used to it. Did you notice your bike stalled easier Krieg? Some time I am going to set my bike back to 0% and check this.
mine actually worked great today unil i got a flat was doing pretty well in the enduro,no stalling and pulled pretty good from idle,it just wont lug around below 2000-2200 rpm, didnt have much luck with the motoz tires, just like riding on ice everywhere! NO grab from the front and the rear just spun side to side
Bummer Kev I was using the Motoz Enduro ST's yesterday and after the rain started....it did make for som "interesting" roots and rocks. However, I was running 11 lbs in front and 10 rear and they were very predictable. It was sometimes squirrly in the ruts across the few fields but that was more the grass than the tires for sure. Mud must have packed up one of the carb vent hoses at about mile 60 as I would stall on steep long downhills....no matter if I pulled in clutch and reveed it too. Not float (I don't think) as it still was "hesitant" to restart at bottom of hills and level ground. As if fuel supply locked up down hill like a gas can without the air relief not opened. Lost about 40 minutes doing the "restart drill" ARGGGHHH! Still good for a 3rd for a debut on of the 144. had tons of energy left. limped in to gas available at mile 94 on reserve. NEW TANK NEEDED ...HURRY! Drew ran out. All in all good and happy your stumble is all but gone. Again....the Enduro ST's worked great. KP has the Tracionators on her GG and I thinke they are not as good in the slime but still a great tire. Joe
No stalling on my bike. Just better throttle response. I did bump CO1 back up from 100 to 101 (CO2 and 3 are still at 100).
This engine doesn't have a whole lot to offer in the torque department at those RPM's. 5k+ if you want to get into the meat. I'm learning how to clutch to get those revs in slow stuff. I now understand the 2 stroker's always talking about fanning the clutch. Works! Glad the hesitation is fixed, it's annoying as hell till sorted. I don't know how feasible running lower pressures would be for you gentlemen, but if you can get that Enduro s/t down to 5-6 lbs, it really sticks! I'm using the Tubliss contraption and love it so far, but I don't race
Finally got a chance to advance the TPS on my bike. That, combined with a new iriduim spark plug made quite a difference. Didn't notice that bogging flat spot. Felt crisp and snappy. I don't know if it's my imagination, but it seems to have less braking. Now all I need is a fix for the starter which has died completely...and a big bore kit
Thats a good question.. I had the body off and directly on the other side of the idle screw is the "CHOKE or HOT START" depends whom you ask.. The screw as you turn it in push's out on the cylinder of the cable operated lever assembly on the clutch master cylinder... So when the TE is cold and I pull the red lever the idle goes up and when its warm/ hot and I pull the lever in it does nothing to the idle but the idle screw directly pushs the cylinder out and that is what makes it idle higher.. and more slack in the cable..lol Chow, Carl
