    I wouldn't be surprised if the bottom end bearing life is directly affected by whether or not a balancer is installed on these bikes(450's & 510's).

    What is the red strap for on the rear of the seat? To lift the bike onto stands or??

    Normal... pay atention only if you find "Copper" parts in oil or big steel parts in magnetic plug/strainer...

    Ghostman...did you read the entire thread. It ended up being my lower rod bearing. The amount of metal I was pulling out was NOT normal.

    The red strap is just a "tugger" strap to assist in moving the bike, picking it up, lifting it over rocks/out of ruts. I made it myself out of nylon webbing, but you can buy them here: http://www.thetugger.com/

    Sorry i only see the photos, if the crankshaft bearings are damage with clearance check if he magneto rotor is damage or the crankshaft seal in ib cluct cover is damage, is usual when these bearings have clearance. The best way is you conctat a oficial dealer

    Ghost read the whole thread motor was removed and all worn parts replaced. he already put 90 miles on the bike.......
