My vote is, yes, get a 250 if you want to trail ride. It's a fun bike that's street legal, lighter than the Yamaha 250 and more powerful. A different thought to consider- If you're unsure about a small bore why not buy used? Save a bit of $$ and dump it if you don't like it. Great price on the new one but...

I am putting this purchase on hold for now. I will see where I sit next year this time and there are leftovers then as well. I doubt I could get a used 250 any cheaper than this new 09 also. Hoping I get to ride one of these models in the coming year to help make up my mind.

    Thanks

Bad decision! There is absolutely no reason not to experience the wonderful feeling of weaving between trees, accelerating up hills, bull dogging down hills, hitting rocks in the creek beds & then sliding on green covered slate sideways & saving a highside when it gets traction. Banging your head [protected of course] on a low hanging branch & knocking your glasses off to kingdom come where you need glasses to find your glasses:eek: Wait a minute, I'm suppose to be persuading you to get in the woods:D See what you will be missing. Get the 250, you will not regret it, period:)

HAHAHA! Yeah I want one, but realistically I need to slow down buying toys and get some miles on the 610 before I can justify another new bike. I will keep my eyes peeled for a used one, but doubt anyone can beat that price
