Oh man !! I'm getting goose bumps just thinking about THS :D

3 more days....Went and got some goodies for the bike and myself (handguards...for when Rob roosts by me :lol:, new goggle lenses, so they can get scratched when Rob roosts past me :lol:)

All kidding aside, this should be one heck of a race...The speeds should be a little slower than that 06 video, thats according to the Los Ancianos website...of a tight, technical, rocky race for this year :applause:

Get my Ibeat software on friday, so should have her dialed in later that afternoon, as per some specs from rairsx251 and Kelly....Thanks guys for posting your efi knowledge on this site....

I will be there early Sat AM, the rest of "my" crew will arrive on Fri. Best of job with the adjustments,,remember temp is cool but we will be at @3500-4000 ft. and we have low humidity, so verify the pressure altitude with the other guys settings. I think with the combo PNW and east coast numbers from the 2 good sources you will find a happy setting.
I am glad the course will be a longer format to keep from getting ROOSTED from the fast guys, plus our groups should limit the bottle neck factor (I hope) especially in the ugly sections . I am really looking forward to this one, its full on rock and roll.

Well, she's ready to rock and roll on Saturday...Clean engine oil, handguards, Pirelli Scorpion mid/heavy up front with UH Brigdestone, Stock (Michelin ECO tire :excuseme:) in back with UH Bridgestone...Ibeat comes in manana, so that will be good, probably just take it with me to Mex and fine tune down there Saturday morning...

Rob, leaving friday afternoon, staying at Melero Ranch..He said theres a carne asada happening in pm, so assuming its a Los Ancianos thing manana at the rancho...

    See ya Saturday..

P.S. I got you a quick fill dump can that you can use...Its the old style dumpers, that you can use on your stock (non dry break) tank.

Its showtime....Let's go Husky Nation....cheer us Husky riders on, on Saturday :applause::applause:

dont worry about the FIM comp rear,,,like I said before I am a believer in those especially for this type of ride,,,my rear will be at 10psi the F at 11 or 12psi.
these things are like trials tires on rock climbs

    Race update

Got back home at about 6:30....All I can say is that the Los Ancianos laid out a very fun and VERY challenging course :applause: Always worth the entry fee cost...

Quick race info....Nick Burson could'nt get his bike started on the dead engine start...Started almost a minute behind the other pro's and was told he was second OA at the end of lap #1....Heard he finished 3rd OA  Had a chance to talk with Nick before the race...really nice guy...Thanks Nick for doing Tecate and flying the Husky colors...I'm sure you would have won it if not for the starting issue...

My race: Started about midpack (25 or so bikes) in the B row...Was riding well until my hands went numb for a while,,,Robert N caught up to me about halfway on first loop and we had a blast racing each other for a bit...Since Rob was obviously going harder than me, I waved him by and he railed that TXC 450 of his by me, hooting and hollering the entire time :D:D :applause::applause:

I did'nt hydrate well enough and started getting major leg cramps from the end of the 1st loop, to the end (2 27 mile loops in total) of the race. :banghead::banghead:

2010 TXC 250: This bike continues to impress  I upped the efi settings to 110/115/115 before the race and now it ROCKS The bike ran sooooo good and soooo strong....It handled the course like a hot knife through butter and just flat ripped...Stock suspension was great, power delivery, gear ratios, everything...was perfect today...Just need to get the rider in better shape :lol::lol:

Okay Rob, post your thoughts and race story....

Blake was also down spectating and took photos...come on Blake, post em up for the masses....

Good times had by all...Next year (Dec. 4th), this race will be run as a qualifier enduro format :applause::applause::applause: Hopefully we can fill those rows with more Huskies :D

Was a great race. Looks like everyone had fun. It was a LOT of fun to be out there and spectate, but the whole time I wish I had raced!

dang I am uuuuuggggglly!!! very fun race,,,got a bad start stuck behind alot of veerrry slow riders, had to resort to ungentlemanly race tactics (I don't like that) and plow past guys in tight single track, finaly cleared the conga line and had smooth sailing for a trouble free ride, not too fast but steady and tried to be smooth. Whoops did get deeper by L2 after all the pros tore it up. Nice course,,had the best fun riding with Mitch through some really twisty but flowing sections through the manzanita...conditions were perfect with the underlying moisture in the soil. Bike finished another one with no issues except one non estart after I stalled her one time,,,one kick and she was on the way. Thanks to Blake and gal for fotos and extra fans!! Nick Burson is really really fast,,he was last off the line after stalling about 20 feet out he actually pusshed the bike off the start area to clear for the next minute,,,he was about 30 secs or more behind the last pro by the time he got her going (ZipTy racing e-cross TC250 all tricked out) he podiumed,,,,little Jamie Lanza is like a thorough bred jockey and just friggan rails on his green machine. For us it was @ 1.5 hour per lap,,,so 3 hours in the saddle,,,my legs are burned and I got some monkey butt as well. All of of crew had good safe rides all finished and we all had fun!!! Great stuff. Prelim results

From my email to the crew,

Kawasaki, Yamaha and a HUSQVARNA TC250 on the podium after starting dead last Pro from a stalled bike. I think my brand loyalty is starting to be a viable option finally. PS Burson on his TC250 was up to second at the end of the first lap.

    http://www.losancianos.com/

Jaime Lanza smoked the Pro class (Kawi)
    2. Bobby Garrison (Yam)
    3. Nick Burson (Husky)
    4. Ivan Ramirez (Hon) (smokin' fast 16 year old kid from Ensenada, Baja)
    5. Colton Udal (Hon)
6 or 7. Larry Roeseler (Kaw) (started on 2nd row, even at 52+ years old is SO fast)
6 or 7. Brent Harden (Hon)
Matt and Max Eddy and Bryan Brunning were all up there too.

This years Pro class was not that loaded as in other years. 250F size was ideal for this years event.

    happy finish report from www.losancianos.com

3rd 40B behind 1st place AMA Nat H&H Sen A rider cherry picker/sand bagger, I am happy to podium, hope the A rider is proud of his THS trophy and his RynoLand Western Hare scrambles Sen B 1st place trophy too, good job for a top 5 Nat H&H Sen A rider!! I guess Larry Roeseler and Jim Beachamp both in their 50s are too fast for you to compete with . (my rant of the day)

    Our regular crew did well, sportsmen classes AM race 30-40Cyril(FR) 3rd,40-50 Massimo(IT) 1st, 60+ Tim(US) 1st, PM race 30B Tom(US) 1st, 40B Rob(US) 3rd.

Mitch S did well for the first time out on the TXC250 with minimal set up time,,we were setting sag in the AM before the race,, Mitch a new heavier spring will be in the cards for sure.

FYI This turned out not to be a very rocky or technical race, just minor obstacles to deal with.
The H&H ugly stuff (very scary at times) and the HD series of tecate rides had me overthinking this ride. It was fun and safe, and the 08 TXC prevailed once again, R

You pack a lot of information in a few words Robert.

Are you saying there was a 2010 AMA National Hare and Hound race number 1, and that the winner of the 2009 Tecate Hare scrambles Senior B division (either Larry Roeseler and Jim Beachamp) did not finish in that race?

Once again, congrats on the 3rd in senior B in the 2009 Tecate Hare Scrambles. :applause:

Nope a Nat sen A rider (who races AMA Nat H&H as a Sen A and finishes top 5) for the past few years, signed up as a Sen B (my cheesy class of older fatter guys) both in the 2009 Tecate HS and the 2009 AMA Rynoland Western HS and won both B class races. ( I am just -tongue in cheek, bitter- because those type guys f the slower guys (me and others) from our only chance at podium glory!! Or plastic trophy glory, well tecate has cool wooden trophies actually.
I just saw the guys name as a DNF on the Nat H&H round one results, so I was just having a little gloat time... (its all in good fun, I am not bad natured)

PS Larry and Jim both in their 50s raced SEN A (40 plus class) in Tecate plus Larry finished quite well overall against the very much younger pro rank guys. LR still goes fast on a bike for sure, he goes fast in SCORE trucks too!!
