Neena snapped this pic of Revelle Harrison chasing Ty Davis in the Sr. race. Best pic of the whole day I think.
This race looks like a good one... I've pre-run the 500 course, and it was fun, but not very technical riding. Ever since the first day I saw some of Rob's pics/vids, I've wanted to ride THAT Some day... Some day... Chilly, the pic you posted is awesome!!! Shows some crazy intensity!
meanwhile......I was back in Revelle's and many other's dust.....but that was only the sand wash start finish area the back 18 had alot of tight curvy trails, great single track with mostly moist dark dirt (reasonable), steep ups and and downs and some nice rock technical sections, we even had a running stream bed section with real water!. My report is that #1 Is that I FINISHED again, #1a I finished without too much fatigue, the 310 is so easy to toss around, #2 I finished 3rd 50A (2 major 50A players were not there to beat me, which they would have), #3 My lap times (waiting for final stats) were in my opinion so-so but pretty close within 1.5 mins of my friend and P2 finisher Reed, the P1 guy really smoked both of us by like 10 minutes. My pace was safe and as smooth and fatigue free as possible. I tried hanging it out a bit on the first lap section of dusty road and nearly went over the edge but also after stopping to slow blind traffic for dust caused rider down, those incidents kept me well within the envelope all day. Also for me and others I know, we did get bottle necked on some of the sections behind other riders, but I never once got hung up on any of the tough sections. All of our rock climb and descent technical riding stuff practice is paying off. (PS looks like Chilly won in his age step down class 30A on the very nice FE350 Husaberg). PPS Danny LaPorte was an upfront starter on TXC310 (I think it was a 310). Old fast vs young fast @ 4 hours total of head to head racing, Larry Roeseler Iron Manned (both AM sportsman and PM pro races) a KLX450 to 2nd OA behind our local district fast kid Justin Morgan on his YZ125 (can you say pinnnnnned). Get Justin a CR144 Look forward to the Enduro360.com report. Nice pic from Neena!! Revver always rips. RN Another clean no injury race and no failure finish for my latest Husky the 2011 TE310 and a podium again!!! another note I really wish those notorious "kids" on loud pipe CRFs (for the most part) would learn not to constantly just rev the piss out of their bikes, dig mosnter knobby trenches and roost half the trail into dust oblivion!!! (my only real whine of the day)(the cure to that is for me to be faster!!)

Nice job Robert - a seriously fast buddy of mine (Dave Vogt) finished only 4 places ahead of you - 1:22 is a fast lap
Enduro360.com - Chilly Viddy great stuff, great trail views, I was roughly 9 mins per 22 mile lap slower. View: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4F8Af_xUJEw
Guess Revelle got 10th just behind Noah Kepples who was 9th on Husky and Ty At 8th YAM ,also!LR got 11th FAST GUYS
Yes but remember what the Zip Ty Team did last year On Husky First over all First Pro Team many factory teams were there last year Beat Team Green and Team orange First in a few of the other classes from the different guys that made up the team But you saw nothing of it in any of the Husky press Lets just say those were the days
I want to know what happened to front row starter Danny on his Husky? Anyone know off hand? I will find out but just wondereing if anyone knows? John let's not get to emo on this, it's really the usual silly season crap biz that revolves around racing in general. Look at all the other drama filled orgs from score to Formula 1 to MotoGP. teams fight teams come they go, lawsuits follow, cantract broken, bad blood spoken. ZipTy affiliate rider Bobby Garrison is blazingly fast on whatever he rides and did show us all just how far a WR300 could go as well as the TXC/TC450 in west coast competitions. You guys did check the results right? Ty was 1st 40A and Rev was 2nd 40A, Ty still cuts like a knife through tight stuff. PS 2010 Tecate Enduro (50th anniversary) was the big Husky return show with ZipTy team Husky winning the team and the individual OAs over a strong team green crew and many other top tier nat and international competition. 2011 was team green glory for Taylor Robert PPS ZipTy Racing still performs magic on Husky's, mine has ZipTy suspension as well ZipTy modified/rebuilt smooth as glass clutch, as well as some ZipTy bling parts.
DL said he was on a TXC250 and stopped after 1 loop, after twisting up his knee within the first 5 miles of the race. PS he really likes the Husky x-lite package handling.
Closes thing to Tecate will be the Race at the Ranch in Anza Calif USA this sat with the 10 mile course Followed by the GP on Sun with a 4 mile course See you there on sat Mr Robert
