Hi te630 was hard to start this morning, finally fired up and not long after the fan comes on and is blowing cool air and wouldn't shut off.Had no flashing light on the dash.Get to work let it cool down and fire up and the fan is still on.Shut it down disconnect the wires to the temp sensor and there was moisture in there.Blow the moisture out and it seems to be working normally on the way home. My question is to those who had then fail did they leak water into the terminals on the sensor? Has anyone had water in the plug? I have not ridden in water or washed the bike in weeks.
Its just a temp sensor. Local dealer, ebay, far away dealer shipped... the price wont vary that much. I know my sensor was fine it just had water at the connector because my retainer clip on the loom side was not retaining it in place. It would back off. I cleaned it, dielectric grease and a zip tie to hold the retainer in place was all i needed.
