12x28x8 is 6001, from the diagram looks same on both sides
C3 would be my choice for any engine internal bearing
only worried about messing up the gear installation because it looks to have smooth shaft, no splines, no way to be sure it is installed at proper angle, even couple degrees of the camshaft angle will cause power loss.
BMW cars have similar installation where you hold camshafts in place with special tool, install chain and sprockets and then tighten the sprockets to the shaft, bad idea for consumer, job security for BMW mechanic

It is essential to make a reference mark before disassembling the gear.
to remove it you need to heat it up a lot.
it would be interesting to understand how he did it

Heat would damage any heat-treated surface, wonder if they use extreme cold to assemble at the factory or just extreme pressure?
In case like this I usually freeze shaft and only warm up bearing with hot water, gear may be able to take more heat but I never tried one like this.
Have seen cases where people heat up bearing too much and 100 miles later it turns to dust because heat treated surface became annealed

maybe kuzmich helps us to understand how the dismantling work was done

Hello! I heated the bearing to 100-150 degrees, while the shaft was in the freezer, after that I set the mark, and put the sprocket in place with the pres.

Since I changed the gears of the third gear, almost two years have passed.
Engine design respected, engineering solutions show a serious school.
I also replaced all the plain bearings on the shafts, replaced the pump, replaced the piston rings.
The connecting rod assembly remained the same, it was as new as measured.

I then enjoyed the work done.

when you opened the engine for work, the timing chain and its tensioning shoe were in good condition? currently how many km have you traveled with the current distribution chain?

I changed the timing chain, having traveled about 30,000 kilometers, at that moment I changed the cylinder head gasket to the block head, before that my radiator had lost tightness and the engine was overheated, the cylinder head gasket burned and the combustion products moved to the cooling system, I did everything replacements at the same time.
In the last repair, the chain remained in place, its condition was good.

The photo shows where there was a leak, coolant flowed into the expansion tank, and then into the street.

Hello my dear! Time rushes forward, my husky continues to run. There are a few small problems, but this is not critical. I finished my driving season a week ago at 63200+ km. One day I will take a photo with the number 100000. :)

Hi there, sorry to restart a very old thread, but I'm in the process of choosing parts for an engine rebuild.

What does the part 8000H1760 (Cylinder gasket set) actaully include? It's an expensive part, when it seems like I just need the Headgasket (8B00H0937)?
