IIRC, You had been talking about freshening up the top end on the TXC. Did you end up doing that?

Fantastic report and fotos. I have always found it funny how deep in the 3rd world, the tee hirts that show up, like those guys with NBA tank tops.
PS get a "nylon" type chain guide (BRP for example)

No I'm still on the same top-end... I'm a wuss...I'm afraid to start the work :( ... Bike still runs well and no signs of smoke from the exhaust or any other engine issues I can detect ...

We have another much shorter mileage 3-4 island 'scouting' ride planned next month and then in March, we plan to do a real tour with other riders ... So the time between JAN and March is another opportunity to replace the pistons, rings, and maybe cylinder ...

True on the tee shirts ... even in the most remote places of the third world, almost any slogan can we written on a shirt ...

Yep, I'm leaning towards that BRP device for sure now ... Someone here earlier pointed out that the stock guides can bend and stay bent causing excessive rubbing ...

I hear ya ... I'm all about the bike riding and letting the Husky rip but the scenery just captivates you in a place like that with its sights and sounds and the riding sort of is in the back seat ...

No dinosaurs but we did get a Chinook fly over ...

A little better look of the height of the falls there..

I drilled in on the pics and I'm not so sure now if it is a chinook now ... The tail section looks awfully tall ... and there is a civilian version coming up the rear.

This pic looks more like a chinook but the tail section still looks large to me.... Looks like the engines are located in the right place though ...

First, my prayers to all on the lose of life here ...

These guys think it was just a stream-pressure build-up and life goes on as usual ...

I highly doubt I'll get up very close to this guy again .... :) ... But from the distance, this volcano is quite a sight....
