with 100/100/100 the standard lambda always indicates between 950 and 980 mv at any regime. this after bypassing the probe This with a CDI european 8000H1642
I just used iBeat for the first time. It works excellent. I found out that a previous owner (or dealer) adjusted the co settings already, was set to: 101, 106, 108. I adjusted it to: 101, 109, 122 (because on the dyno the bike was way too lean at high rpm) I didn't had the time to ride yet, but do you think it will make a big difference? Is there a trick to set the TPS? TPS is set at 962, but the sensor was reading 952, should I set it at 952? Or does that difference doesn't make any sense?
Thats the colour of my plug after 500km,with the FB settings at 105,106,108.My bike is stock exept the pu kit.It runs way better with that FB setting rather the stock one.I was afraid i would choke the bike with too much fuel since my exhaust is stock, but it seems that even with the pu the bike was still lean, and judging by the colour of the plug now and how the bike feels(better),id say that pu itself doesnt do much. How about your plugs guys?Photos and CO or FB setting would be a good old fashion way to see A/F ratios by checking plug colours.
the color of the candle ceramic from a "rough" idea of carburation. the color does not indicate with absolute certainty the state of the candle because the procedure before reading the color is particular. It is an ancient system that used 2-stroke engines that used leaded petrol. today with the different petrol sold in the world it becomes difficult to compare the colors to have "certainties". so it was and 'remains an inaccurate system that combined with personal experience (if any) can give good results of assessment of the carburetion.
Plug looks good to me. The bikes love the extra fuel. I bet the mpg stayed the same and the bike is a lot more fun to ride. Do not be afraid to play with the co numbers and do seat of pants dyno testing.
Anybody have a idea that on a bike the has no spark and no injector opening ibeat is not showing a fault ?
Yes now it looks ok for sure.I dare say that the fuel economy is better now,you twist the throttle gently now for the same performance...
Thats what im looking at now . But manual has no check for it . I was told by car mechanic to use test light and crank motor and look for flicker .
Hi everyone. ibeat "throttle position" shows range from 0% to 102,4% (from neutral to full throttel). Expected to see 0% to 100%. How bad is it? How to fix? Any help?
Hi everyone Adjusted CO to 102 108 120 as recommended above. Better idling, smother ride, more power etc. But FB icon inactive, can't open it. What is it for? How to activate? Need help
if you mount the bypass of the lambda probe, that button does not work. this if you think about it and 'normal .... the probe is no longer' connected to the CDI
Rotax655 Hmmm sorry still not cleare. You mean if there is no lamda (in fact I did removed lamda and put 2,2 kohm resistor instead) FB icon normally inactive?
ok now it's clear. as I told you with the bypass of the lambda probe the FB function is inactive because it is not possible to detect any data from the lambda probe. in this condition you can 'intervene on the CO on the 3 areas of intervention as you did
