I would have done the X2, but they were not available when I purchased the spots. I do a lot of deep woods riding, and to be honest, I would have still mounted some aux. lighting just in case there was a problem with the main lighting. I also wanted to make sure that I could have a very visible light while still using my stock headlight on the roadways till I could have figured out the headlight deal...
