Endurobra, good to know.. Maybe I should just go ahead and order it then.. Can I ask how much you were charged for shipping to UK if you don't mind.?

And what are your experience with AF-XIED, especially at low rpms and off idle throttle response.?

Is not fun this continuous messages waiting, if someday I will get rid of the control of moderators. ;)
After about 10 hours my message was published, in the meantime published a couple of other posts

Sorry but I had to mention when I saw previous posts :o

Thanks for posting that link Charlie.. Don't know how I missed that until now.. I think the AF-XIED is the right solution for me and if I can replicate your results with it, I'll be a happy Terra owner I think..

One thing I noticed though, is how you mentioned that Roger recommended that you kept your eruption mod installed along with AF-XIED, and in a later post you confirmed that you ran your bike with both devices installed. But you recommended to me that I didn't use both a booster plug and AF-XIED in tandem.? I thought the eruption mod and booster plug works the same way, so what is the difference.?

The "Eruption" mod is an Air Temperature Spoofer. As such, it is learned by the Magnetti/Marelli ECU really quickly (in my experience). Once it's learned there is no real point in changing it back for the stock AIT. thus the recommendation. It does have the annoying effect of flashing the snowflake on the dash though.

I would not run the booster plug and the AF-XIED in tandem ONLY because "I HAVE" no experience with how they would function together. You can try it obviously, but, it isn't something I've tried or observed and can't recommend. I really don't think it will hurt anything but plausible deniability is my policy... ;)

With the AF-XIED your mission is to increase fueling to eliminate lean stumble and increase fueling resultant in better driveability, performance and torque.

The Booster plug is also a air temp spoofer. It seems to be the exception of being negated by the ECU, at least from what I read. It portends to do a much better job than the"Eruption" mod and I don't think I have seen any installers have note that it been negated by the ECU. But, I could be wrong about that.

Additionally, if I were going back to the AF-XIED I would run it at settings 8 or 9 but would start at the factory setting of 7 and keep increasing it until you are satisfied that it's doing what you want it to do. At setting 7 you should see the lean stumble abate, lean pop abate and the engine smooth out. At setting 8 you will notice an increase in torque. The closer you get to increasing fueling to 7% above Lambda the better the bike performs but of course there are trade offs like increased fuel use.

I think I'll remove the booster plug, do a reset of the ECU and then install the AF-XIED. That way I'll have a fresh base setting and then go from there.. Its just a shame winter is about to set in here, so don't know how much riding I'll be able to do. But lots of time to tinker in the garage and upgrade my red mistress.. Or rather its becoming my Aussie wife's mistress, as she has taking fancy on my Husky and keeps asking when we can go practicing her riding skills..

    Hi Alex,

did your Terra ever got mossed? Does the bike run the actual mapping?

Before the update I wasn´t able to ride my Terra below 3.000 rpm, after the update riding around 2.000 rpm is no longer a problem. Much more powerful between 2.000 and 3.000 rpm now.

Alex since you took delivery of the bike with the booster plug already installed, may I suggest that you remove it and ride the bike for a little while without it?
As there seem to be at least a few vocal riders here who are happy with the bike stock, why not just explore that option easily & inexpensivley before you jump to another solution?
WHOOPS, I just saw your post from yesterday....Ignore the above.
