Sad isn't it. At least the 125-150 has only really been around in the new frame since 09, the 250 and 300 oh so sad. The 150 is so good maybe I should not jump ship! But >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>..................

Got ya, but, I already have WR handlebars, fmf exhaust, foam inserts, flywheelweight, (It's a CR 150) 18 inch rear wheel, Zoke twin chamber fork instead of the Kayaba, IMS tank, revalved and lowered 1 inch front and rear. scotts steerin dampner, etc.... THIS THING IS A RACE WEAPON What else can I do It plain works for me and hauls A--!!! Just sick of the neglect Husky has had with there 2-strokes!!! I myself hate the ergo's of the 250-300. Hec if they even put that old school, dependable but heavy engine in the new frame, I would be happy I may pull the trigger on a Gasser tomorrow and sell my CR!!

I tried and 06 tc 250 aqnd and 09 te250. The tc 250, I hated, without electric start and fuel injection starting was about as good as reliability of a Bultaco The 09, Great for trailriding, but when you pushed the pace very IFY , ALL bad traits come out when you push something full tilt!!! I hear the 10 and up 4-strokes are pretty good!! The deal is I'm old school!! I like the sound of a 2-stroke and the reliability factor!! My riding style keeps me near redline and probably a gear lower then I should be!!! I see the 4-stroke grenading and massive $$$$ to fix!!! Thanks for the suggestion though, at this point I'm close to pulling the trigger on a Gasser. If I do I will set up and app 7 mile single track, and do it to and back, timed switching from bike to bike and if faster on the Husky the Gasser will go down the road or the Husky!!! On that same course I did it back to back a crap load of times with a wr125 09 and my 09 te 250 and was faster on the 125 ALWAYS Sorry but 4-strokes are not for me!!!

Let me tell ya those socks are cool!!! My wife was like, do not tell me those socks have the Husky crowns all over the bottom of the socks and ther no slip Husky crowns, yep you bet they are I told her!! She shook her head abd walked away!! I secretly thought to myself, lets see Iv'e been with you for 8 years and Iv'e been loving and riding Huskys for 25 years!! Hec Cagiva's with Husky stickers!! 260's that were heavy pigs, single shock 125's, tractor like 360's and everything in between!!! If I keep rambling on, I will talk myself right out of the Gasser!!!

I stated earlier in this thread that if the prices were all the same I would buy a Gasser but the fact is they're not. After spending the $1500 + dollar difference on my Husky there is no doubt that My Husky is a better for me than a new stock GasGas, KTM or any other brand. I'd rather spend 2K to ride more and become a better rider then spend an extra 2K on a bike. I would buy my Husky again tomorrow if I had a do over.

The new gassers are really amazing bikes. I own a '05 DE300 which I love, but had the chance to hop on a '11 EC300 recently. There are very few major differences between my bike and the '11, but the '11 just seems a bit more refined. Very easy to ride with a lot of linear low end and smooth delivery. Great ergos and top notch suspension.

I love my Gasgas 300 and I really cant find and fault in the bike at all. But, I am intrigued by the WR/CR150 and would love to give one a whirl. There is a semi-local '08 CR144 that is loaded with extras including a IMS tank for $2000! Very tempting. I am thinking about keeping my Gasgas, picking up the CR and letting my 15 year old ride the CR144. He has a KDX200 now.

The 08 sounds like a good deal!! If it is a factory 144 kit, your son will love the engine for sure!! Gives me more to think about! Thanks

I know, I love my Husky! But right now if you look around you can find 2011 Gassers with like 2 hours on them for like $5,500 or so, so reallly about the same as buying a Husky!!

That is a lot closer to the same but I paid $4900 for my 09 WR250 new in the crate. There was no reason to buy a newer year model Husky since they were the same basic bike. I wanted the 50 Zokes and didn't care if the stickers fell off the shrouds so why pay $600 more for a 2010 or 2011. I could care less what color the frame is so why buy an 2012. GasGas has been making small but important changes every year so after about 2 or 3 years you have a good reason to buy a new one. Also GasGas seems to make these changes based on customer and dealer feedback so they are effective changes in the right direction.

I like your attitude! My wife says the same thing. My work is shaky and spotty at most, and yes Iv'e had a 97,99,01 and a 05 Gas Gas, but the truth is I would get a Husqvarna Tattoo, but would never even consider getting a Gas Gas tattoo Your probably right!! I would ride the 300 or 250 Gas Gas for awhile and wonder and complain and moan and groan and secretly where my Husqvarna socks while doing it! All at the same time missing the awesome sound of my little angry 150 closing in on a orange POS I think I will sleep on it before I pull the trigger on a Gasser!! Have you heard if they cancelled Duquette or not??? Thanks for the advice and slap me the next time I consider becoming a trader (still don't know for sure!!) I had a few times where I have screwed up with the buzzsaw on like a off camber-turn-hill and stalled it, and when that has happened wished I had a 250!! Thats all!!

I haven't heard anything about Duquette yet - It's been dry there for a while, so it might be on?

Maybe a 167cc kit would make your Husky "perfect" ???

Thought about it! Just being a baby and bored!! Hope Duquette is on!!! I think I have heard the factory 144 kit is alot more reliable then the 167 kit. Probably stick with the Husky!!! Hey you going to the Huntersville trail ride??? My knee is hurt bad from a ladder fall but I think I will be there. On the 24th and 25th. If your bored you and your family are welcome to camp out or stay at my place that weekend. Got a few freinds coming up to ride. Probably do a bonfire on Sat night. Otherwise hope to see you at the trail ride, and thanks for the reality slap. I CAN ONLY AND PROBABLY STICK WITH A HUSKY ! BUT hey anyone with a 2011 Gas Gas and not doing anything on Sept 24th and 25th, come to Huntersville MN and we will switch bikes back to back and compare notes, then come on over and drink some beers

    That sucks about your knee!

Thanks for the offer, but I am laying low, trying to save up some money for a new road bicycle. Laugh if you want. :) The end of the year specials are hitting, and I've got my eye on a new Specialized Tarmac...

I spent some time on Parker's YZ 151/167 (whatever it is???) and it was nice, but you just can't make the little motor act like a 250. Good and bad in everything - you can't make my 250 flick back and forth like a 125 either...

I know what you are saying. Yes the stickers peeling off the shrouds is kind of funny!! I to have pulled my Husky out of the crate back then, and seen the stickers falling off (Hey my pink 97 Gas Gas did the same thing!!!) I may strip my bike down and have the frame powder coated RED ! And put some different crap on it and just lie and tell everyone it is a prototype 2013 LOL!!! But you are also right, the small changes Gas Gas makes are important and seem to be customer driven!!! HUSKY how can you come with such confusing spring rates!!! A 5.0 in the rear and a >42 in the front ! Get with the program and kick the orange pumpkin off the pedestal I WISH I WORKED FOR YOU I STILL LOVE MY HUSKY!!!

Funny!!! I rode parkers 167 YZ and adapted ASAP Rode his 2011 kxf250 AND HATED IT ! Better fuel injection then the Husky 4-stroke, BUT THATS IT!!! Felt like a C rider!!! Well I wish you could show, but if Ducette is notone I will see you there, bad knee or not. And since I locked in on second in Vet A, I will win my trus Senior A class easily unless I have a Mech DNF or something crazy happens!!! I know a WR/CR 200 sounds awesome!!!Gas Gas does it, why not Husky !!
