Erik at Altrider said they will be in-hand and shipping 6-11. Mine are on will call since I work nearby. I can't wait to pick them up and get them mounted!
My SW-MOTECH order (placed 5/8) shipped today. They will get here just in time for me to leave town for a week, but will be one of the first things I do when I get back on the 16th. The following items have been shipped Item No.Product NamePriceOrderedShippedMSS.03.325.10000.B SW-MOTECH Skidplate / Engine Guard For Husqvarna TR650 Terra / Strada '13 $234.99 1 1 SBL.03.319.10000.B SW-MOTECH crashbars/engine guards for Husqvarna TR650 Terra/Strada, '13- $172.50 1
Mine was shipped on Friday but I'll bet it will be a least another 10 days before I see it. With our fine friends at the border.
Those prices are from twistedthrottle.com, and are the same as their website. Is that where you are looking, or at sw-motech directly? Hard to say what you'd find there, and shipping would be $$$ to California.
On 6/3, in an email, Twisted Throttle said my SW-Moteck crash guards were shipped! Ordered on 4/16. Lucky, no need for them so far.
From Altrider just now.... Hello Kevin, Thank you for your interest in AltRider. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected delay the bars have been pushed back by approximately 3 weeks. They should begin shipping by June 28th. Please let me know if I can help with anything else.
Now I'm getting mad. What is this the 3rd delay. What kind of business are they running. Take them off the sponsor list. Why should we help them get orders if they can't fill orders on time.
Yeah, now I'm just pissed. I totally get a delay or two, but this projected ship date would put it exactly 90 days after I ordered. That's a bit much. I know guys who waited less time for the water cooled GS.
Jeeze Luoise, that is retarded. How many of you want Crash Bars? I'll friggin setup a jig and make 10 sets. It's all about the numbers. It will take me a set amount of time to design and fit one set, a bit of time to set up a jig to assemble quantity. If I farm out the bending, I can get the costs down with quantity. If I batch powder coat, I can get the cost down. What is a fair price point? These would be made out of steel. I could make a good bash plate also, out of good ole steel. I have been trying to justify the purchase of the new welding cutting tools. Plasma, tig, I already have the mig etc.
