I commute on my KLR on occasion, and see this a lot too -- same vantage point, and hyper-aware. I tell my friends about it, but no one believes me. And that, I think, is the problem. No one thinks its as big a problem as it really is. I once saw a 20-something girl almost rear end a truck in the lane next to me on the freeway. I was doing 65 and she past me, so she must have been doing 70. She was driving with her knee, and holding a pot pipe in one hand while lighting it with the other! I watched her go by and was waiting for her to hit the truck and bounce into my lane -- she was oblivious.
A girl rear-ended my friend's daughter's new car. She was driving with a baby in the back, lighting a crack pipe and rear-ended her at a stoplight.
My redneck solution. I originally had short signals mounted on this bracket and they held up pretty well. Now that I have the flush mounts I'll probably clean it up a little. Yes is dirty but I had a great day !
I have the same ones from Sicass racing. They plugged straight into the stock plugs on the bike. About $50.00 US
