125-200cc WB165, what powerband would you like sir?

Tested an older style and kinda odd shaped Doma on my 165 with a YZ muffler. the older KTMs had odd pipes that were medium fat and neck down real quick with a long stinger. The newer ones are fatter but a far more gradual ending cone. I really like my newer style Doma pipe and its massive mid range. Then put on the FMF SST and long silencer and found it had less bottom and mid but a lot more top. I grew to like ti to after adjusting to it. Now i am trying the older style Doma and liking it too. Kinda fun playing with different powerbands.

So this pipe make it hit quicker and harder and the bike seems to rev faster. More bottom than the FMF SST by a noticeable amount and has a hit in the mid range and then signs off kinda early. I think i can extent the top end some with some carb adjustments and went a half turn leaner on the Lectron powerjet and it seemed to like that but as I tested in in tight woods I need to get out somewhere to play more with the top end. So this pipe works nice, feels racy and livly and eager to rev up to a point where it signs off.

The one I am running now which is an older style KTM200 pipe with medium diameter and short ending cone and long stinger...



also note this one wraps around where the top one just comes out and goes back like a 125 pipe. So short and fat verses long and skinny.
