Hi Everyone, Im here so I have made my decision on which make to buy, But I am still confused as to what I want TE450 or SM450R. Well I hope to grow here with everyone else and gather some important knowledge which will help me Mod my bike in the future.
Hey Everyone.... New to the forum, this is my first post.... I'm a professional stunt rider from Wisconsin, I have stunt group called The Vertical Mischief Crew.... (VMC) Been doing it for about 8 or so years now. Rode on a semi-professional level for Triumph onna 02 Speed Triple and 05 R3....after gettin Married (like a dumb ass) I had to sell my S3 to buy a house, and started riding a 03 YZ450F Motard. ABSOLUTELY LOVE stunting motards, and after along rest from some health issues i'm back in the game. Gonna Start doin shows again REAL soon on Husky 610. (As soon as I get it runnin lol) So i'm here for some insight on why this bike has no spark, but thats for a different section lol.. I'm really diggin this bike....BIG brakes stock, gotta love it. This will def be my new stoppie machine....
Hi all new member here from cornwall in the united kingdom, sold my wr400 and got an 04 te450. great forum you have here.
Howdy yall Just joining your site and looking for some advice on my new 2008 Husqvarna SM610IE. Does anyone know anything about a "hop up kit". I heard that I can remove the CO2 sensor from the exhaust pipe to change the injection system to an open loop. Should this be done? If so does it require any other mods?
SM 610 info Greetings from the new guy. Bill at BMP referred me to this site and this is my first visit. I have been riding Honda's for decades, but am considering a new SM610. I have ridden my 1982 XL500 to California, Montana and Nevada from Oregon to FSSNOC events the past few years and am planning trips to Colorado this summer. I hope to ride to Alaska next year, but don't want to ride a 28 year old bike. I love the Gray on the SM, but any big differences in the 2008 to 2009 models? I will have lots more questions after I spend some time on your site and others researching the SM. I am not riding trails anymore so going with the SM vs TE. Thanks from any help you can provide. Newbie BUT oldie wanted to say hi I am new to this site but not dirtbikes & Husky's. previously I owned a '72 250, when it was still considered 'new'. I also owned a Greeves Griffon 250, but the whole Wentworth tools situation quickly caused me to sell it. I later sold my 250 Husky. A few yrs passed but recently I aquired a 1971 400 (Frame MI). I'll probably be janging out in the vintage section and I look forward to utilizing the expertise here and "source parts". Oh yea I'm also working on partial restoration of a '77 Bultaco Alpina, but that's another story.
Hola all, Looking to get back in to riding after a two year stint overseas with no way to get out and run trails! I've been riding for 14 years now and a bit longer if you count riding on the back of a bike / in a backpack / in the womb. I've currently got a Honda XR250 ('96) and a vintage Husky ('74) which is more of a museum piece than a bike I'd ride -- it still kicks ass, though! I'm looking to get a TE450 or 510 but have a few questions about EFI v. Carb, tank availability etc before I buy; I ride anything from open desert to single track (single track being my favorite of the two), neither competitively at the moment. I'm used to riding 100mile loops on a tank and still having some gas left, though, so the fuel consumption & larger tank availability is a large concern before buying a new toy.
Lads. Well what can i say i come to Cafe Husky seeking information and help in concerns to my 2002 WR360. Now i know you've probably discussed this before but i need some advising in concerns to the thing running like a choked cat. It's been to numerous mechanics to try and sought the fuel issues but i normally only get 1 ride out of it and it's right back where it started from. FOULING PLUGS!. Now its carb has been cleaned rejetted all the bullshit but still i can't get it to run. Now i've read at great length it may just be easier to change the Mikuni out for a Keihin. Now money's tight so i've been looking on ebay for a second hand Keihin and there so many different styles off different bikes I'm unsure if there's a certain model i should be looking for or just get any old Keihin PWK 38 or 39mm carb and stick it in and get it jetted to suit. For example would a Carb off a 1998 KTM 380 do or would the carb off a 2003 YZ250 be better. Any help you blokes can give me would be greatly appreciated. Most of the carbs on ebay are all in the states any way and I'm in australia so i'm trying to be as cost effective as i can. Whether i try the second hand motorcyle shops around Sydney here and try and track something down. But knowing what carb will be ok to run on the big girl is what i need to know i guess unless you lads can offer up some other alternatives. Mick.
Welcome Mick, and everyone else. This isn't really a bike discussion thread, it is more of a hello thread. Nothing wrong with asking questions but you may not get any replies either. You may want to consider starting up a thread in the Husqvarna bike discussions area: http://www.cafehusky.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=56
Hi There New Husky owner in New Zealand, 08 TXC450 with 10 hours use, traded in a DRZ400E to get the Husky. No regets, fantastic. Anyway off to ride now and put some more hours on the clock
Hello, just bought my first Husky after many years on other bikes. Been riding the dirt for 40 years. I bought a 630 for my in between bike. Have a 300 XC for dirt, and a 1200 GSA for touring.
Howdy Hi all, I am nearly 100% computer illiterate so forgive me if I'm doing this wrong! I am a new Husky owner, but Bills 09 deals and a bit of insanity forced me to become a 3 Husky owner. (Me and various banks that is!) I bought all 2009's, WR250, WR300 and TE 510. I have been commuting on the 510 giving it an easy break in. I was riding an XR650r and while the 510 has a bit more buzz, the light weight, fuel injection and suspension make it a huge step up from the BRP. The 2 strokes are amazing, went with buddies yesterday and did a 40+ miles riding the 300 and was 1/2 as tired as I would have been on the old BRP. Thanks for the great forum, I'm sure I will be back often with lots of questions.
not-yet-Husky owner i have not quite made the decision on the Husky TE450 or TE510. i also am thinking about another few manufacturers but i am heavily leaning towards the Husky. i'm glad i found this forum. i am on ADV and just asked a list of questions over there about the Husky. i will lurk on the correct threads here. i have the same username on ADV. say hi and PM any info on these bikes and dealers i should go with. i live in the city of Los Angeles.
