I used to own a '73 Husky 250WR that I rode mainly in the deserts of Southern California in the seventies. I have owned/own several other dirt, dual sport and street bikes since then but I have been severely Husqvarna challenged. I would like to get another DS. Within a 45 minute ride from my house, I can be at sea level or several thousand feet high in the mountains. Fuel injection makes sense for me. I have been researching the '08/'09 TE610 for a few months so far. Since the announcement of the TE630, I have decided to wait until there are some owner reviews comparing the two before I make my decision. Mark
noob with big grin G'day ,just bought a 2010 TE 310,what a fantastic bike .will post a photo of it soon (after its had a bath and tarted itself up).Anyway looking forward to get into contact with fellow husky owners.
G'day from Lismore NSW, Australia, have been riding bikes on and off since the mid 70's. Got into racing VMX after finding a road registered 1981(?) Husky 430 in the UK in the mid 90's, and shipping it back to Oz. Proceeded to get a 1973 Kawasaki F11 which was MX'd for the pre 75 class and then a Montesa H6 250 of around 1977 vintage for the pre 78 class. Been doing that for about 15 years now and love catching up with the boys and having a few cold ones around the camp fire the Saturday night before racing on the Sunday. Recently sold a Aussie muscle car that I'd held onto for 25 years and made a nice profit on. Got the better half a newish car and myself a 2001 KTM 640 Adventure for riding to work and back on and the occasional actual adventure. Then about a month ago someone invited me away for a weekend of trail riding on a borrowed 1995 KTM EXC250 and I had an absolute ball. So started looking for a 250 2-stroke for doing more of the same. Have found a 2002 WR250 which I pick up in a couple of days and I was looking for info on them when I found your site. The rest, as they say, is history. Looking forward to customising the WR to my liking and finding out more about the bike from this website. Would love to find other trail bikers around Northern NSW to go riding with. Anyway thanks for listening to me waffle on, that's it for my first post, kind regards to all.
Welcome to the site my new Husky brothers and mates. I will warn all of you.... these Husky's are addictive! I love our three; enjoy.
Hello from PA M son and I have a KTM 250 f and a Husky 310 we ride in North Central PA woods. Husky is new to us, so looking for experienced insight into seting up, maintainf and riding this beautiful Italian red head. Richard
Hi Richard! I moved your post from the other thread about mufflers into the hello thread. It just seemed like a better fit. If you really meant to post in that thread, please do. Welcome to Cafe Husky
currently riding a plated 2000 ktm 200mxc and 2007 ktm 450exc. looking real hard at the 2010 te 250 to replace the 200... it's the only small bore 50 state street legal bike out there that's a real trail machine.
Hi everyone, Nolan from AZ here and i originally wanted tech advice only to find a good reference for all husky bikes thanks for all the tech info on cafe husky keep up the good work.
Hi everybody! I just bought a 09 TE 510, Seems like a decent bike so far... I need to change the oil. Is there more than 1 filter or screen to check? and how much oil does it hold? While I'm at it, are there any issues I should address before I start going on some longer rides? thanks! Blumpkin
Aloha from the Big Island. I'm the new owner of a 80 390CR and am looking forward to learning/enjoying a ton from you guys.
About to make my first post Hey guys, about to make my first post on cafe husky. Been reading a lot lately. I ordered a spark plug for my 2005 TE450. Was sent a Denso IU24. I did homework here and it seems to be useable in place of NGK CR8EB. Also checked Denso website and they say it is equivalent. Just wanted to check here before installing since I didn't see specific reference to a 2005. Am I safe to install the IU24? Thanks.
Hey hey. Right now I dont have a husky, But Im working on getting a 2006 TC250 to race supermoto with. I did put Marzocchi 50mm forks and FBF triples on my DRZ 400 so I guess Im sort of in the husky family The forks and Brembo caliper were from a 510smr.. I hope to be ripping up the races soon on a Husky 250 though!
Hello all. Getting back into dirt bikes after 4-5 years off (and a move from CO to TX). Husky is at the top of my list, looks like I found the spot for all the info!
hi everyone, bought my first motorbike about six months ago after my boys started motocross, we all go riding in the local hills and woodlands. The bike is a wr360 2002 model, its a bit of a handful but keeps me on my toes, anyway thanks in advance for any advice.
Hello Cafe Husky I'm gtsr100rs, NJ based rider. KTM 200EXC and GasGas EC250. Im interested in the Husky bikes.
Welcome to Cafe Husky. Yeah, the WR360 is a handfull....handfull of fun! Nothing better than riding with your son. My best memories as a kid, was riding with my Dad.
Hello all, I'm just getting back into dirt bikes and i'm really excited. The last time i rode a bike was in 1982. I had a Yamaha YZ465. Since then i spent all my money and time on Snowmobiles. We had such a bad snow year here in Western Washington this year, i got bored and bought the bike after meeting some local snow enthusiasts that invited me to ride Baja with them. I bought an 08 TE510. I didn't know what to buy at the time. I'm happy that i purchased this bike over some of the others that i've seen and rode with in Baja. My first big ride was 2000 miles in Baja Mexico. From San Felipe to La Paz and back. Can't wait to go back next year. Thanks to George at Up-Tite Husqvarna for being patient with me and answering all the stupid questions i had and for the great advise. Everything he suggested worked fantastic on the bike and in Baja. Dale
Father has a 1974 Cr250 Mag and a 1982 xc250. Looking for transmission gear set for the 74 Pm me if you can help! Also a coil for the xc250. Nice to meet everybody! Thanks!
