    New to Cafe Husky

    Greetings!

I'm a new member, have owned many dirt and street bikes over the years and am currently in the process of buying my first Husky.

A question for all - Should I go ahead with purchasing a new 2010 450TE for $6,795 (supposed to be a good deal) or wait and buy a 2011 449TE - obviously for much more?

    Any guidance would be appreciated!

    Hi,
I currently am looking at the TE630, TE610 and 690R to get me onto trails that my big horse GS12 can't do (at least with me as pilot!) CO has lots of steep, rocky trails too tech for the big kahuna. I've ridded everything from the DRZ 400 Susie to the 640 Adventure in search of the right machine. So far, the TE610 seems like the best fit. The KTM's are too high strung for me on road (vibey with close ratio boxes, it seems), the 630 is great, but I think I'd like too get the same gearbox ratios of the 610 and lose some weight in the process.

    Thoughts?

    Greetings fellow Husky owners

I'm a newbie, just purchased a 81-82 420ae auto. Not sure of the year, the guy I bought it from thought it was an 85 because thats when he bought it from the dealer. Interesting that it has only 96 miles on it and he signed an affidavit starting that was true and correct. Any info about autos you can send my way would be appreciated. I started it and went down the street and back but don't want to put any miles on it. It is for sale to I would imagine a collector or someone who wants virtually a new 81-82 420ae.

Hello from the Southwest! been a long time Husky admirer but have never owned one and, hopefully, I can rectify that soon!

BTW, can someone point me to a link where I can read up on the differences between XC, CR, etc. on the left kicker 80's bikes? Thanks!

    Hello everybody at Cafe' Husky.

I current live in Henrico Virginia and own a Suzuki DR-650 Dual Sport but I am thinking hard about getting either a 125 or a TE-250 for dual sporting but mostly off-road stuff. I have ridden a 2009 125 of my father-in-laws and was thoroughly impressed on it's handling and performance. I am 6'4" tall and about 230lbs so I think the TE-250 will be good for me but I am not ruling out the 125.

Look forward to seeing everything this site has to offer.

Hey everybody. My name is Julian and I am 28 years old, been in the air force for 10 years and am currently stationed in albuquerque nm. I have been riding since i was 12. started out in moto x on yamahas. then went to a honda. and then ktm 250xc which i currently have now. I am more of a gncc and woods type rider these days. I never realized how great Husky's were until i started reading about them only 3 days ago. I am looking for a txc. glad i found this forum!
