Hey Y'all, I am Chris and I have been bitten by the Husky bug. Just purchased a TE610 to dual sport. Rode as a younger man and I strarted back a few years ago. I am planning a 1200 mile trip to Maine in late September and thought I could get some good knowledge from the folks here.

I am new to the Husky family. I have a vintage 500 XC. Ive been a street rider on and off over the years, but now I live in Arizona
so I had to have a dessert bike. This bike is really an attention getter when you slap the throttle. I now have to get it titled and registered in AZ wich is a pain. I have to go to level 2 inspection because they say I do not have enough of a serial number on the stear tube. They say their is supposed to be 17 digitd but mine only has six. Oh well I guess they will figure out were the real serial number is hopefully.

    HuSQYGORDO new to the cafe

    Hi Husky lovers,
I ride a 09 te250 I bought from a broker who imports US over stock into Canada where I live. ( I got a great deal but no warranty or tech support)
The seller turned out to have no customer support skills and turned out to be straight up rude. (so we've parted ways.} If anyone knows a Husky savvy mechanic on Vancouver Island please let us know.
I live in Tofino on Vancouver Island BC, and there are plenty of riding trails, logging roads etc. Regardless of having to feel my way through the bike I love riding it and have put 180km on it. Supposedly the power up kit has been installed, but I can't tell. She goes plenty fast anyway and is wicked loud. I dId put a Db Dawg on which helped neighborly relations ''some''.
Just wondering if the cooling fan is supposed to always be running? or does it kick in and out? Mine doesn't run at an idle and I can't see it when I'm up and running with my knees in the breeze.
Thanks for the great web forum
    Cheers Cafe Husky

new to husky, thinking about 2010 310te

    HI,
I am new to Huskys. Ktm and Yamaha's for this over 60 C trail rider. Sold two of my bikes and still have my Calif. green sticker Ktm 200 exc. Now interested in a street legal bike as more and more Calif riding area's get closed. Saw info on 2010 310te and it seemed to fit my need for an off road dedicated street legal 4 stroke under 235 pounds. My biggest concern is seat height and weight as I am only 160 lb and 5'5". To the best of my knowledge the new 310 will be 234 lbs and have a 37.4" seat height. I would like a somewhat smaller seat height but the dealer I spoke to said that the front shocks could not be retrofitted with different springs to lower the front end. Is this true? Also, how much lowering can i get by moving the shocks up through the triple clamps and adjusting the rear sag (or getting an adjusting link.), and shaving the seat?
Also, does recluse or revloc make an autoclutch with full clutch override for these bikes? Any help on these issues would be greatly appreciated.
I am always available for weekday rides in Southern California. Would love to ride Gorman with anyone with a 2010 or newer 250/310 te who would trade rides on my KTm 200 exc (very sweet ride) or just ride for the day for fun. Nice to meet all you Husky riders and if you need free legal advice, feel free to PM me and if I can help I will be glad to do so. Also, I have some welding skills if you need them.

    newbie

Thought I would introduce myself, I'm a 55 year old guy who has been riding Sweden's finest for 35 years, started on a 450wr in my 20's and bought my last new bike as 87 250xc.
That gave way to a 510te, starting was so hard on my knees I almost quit riding.
But I have since picked up a 86 400xc and a 86 250xc, as well as some other older air cooled bikes, a 72 450wr, a 73 cr250, a 76 wr 360, 78 or250, a 81 cr430, and 82 xc250 that I bought from Steve Doane at Gresham husqvarna back in 83, he had removed 1/2" from the jug mounting flange and used an earlier rod to lower the head down lower. While the 82 will still run I need to go through it.
Any way if you see an old guy on an 86 xc400 here in the NW woods it is probably me. Keith Bowen

I'm a Husky Junky. I have/ or had the 84 250WR, a 94 250 WXE, 2004 TC450 and a 2006 CR125. I love these bikes. I am currently down to the 84 as my only Husky left. My buddy bought the 94 and is still riding it. I miss the TC450 the most!

    Gooday from down under
I just wanted to thank you guys for a very informative site
I was a worried owner of a new WR 300 that seized up after only 400 km.
After tapping in wr300 engine seize I found your site and some very helpfull info on the problem, which turned out to be an air leakage between carby and reed block.
The good news for Aussie Husky owners is that The Paul Feeny Group were bloody fantastic and sent all parts to my local dealer (Torqupower Husqvarna Ballarat) :applause:
So all good now and I 'ran it in' on a 4 hour Pony Express held at Stuart Mill Victoria and run by The Green Triangle Enduro Club.
An exellent venue and very well run by an enthusiastic group.
Anyway the bike is going great now and I love the big two banger, I came off an orange 450/04 model EXC which was great but I wanted something lighter but still tourqy as I am a lazy old bastard these days, so the wr fitted the bill perfectly the low maintainence is also a side benefit.
So thats me, just wanted to introduce myself. See ya !
