    Intro

    Hi,

I am new to this great site & would be interested to hear from TE 450/510 riders from hot climates how their rides cope with the heat.

I ride in the Abu Dhabi desert all year round, less in the summer, and have been reading about nightmare rides where coolant hoses blow out in hot countries.

I love the look of the TE 510 and am looking at a 2010 at the Dubai dealer on Sat.

I have a CRF 450X Dakar prepped bike that has competed three rally events plus all year round riding that has never overheated, engine probs yes, but never boiled over.

Can anyone help / advise me?

    Thanks, Andy

    Hello all,

I just purchased my first offroad bike, a 1986 500XC, barely running due to carb issues, I think. I just rebuilt the shock and forks, and I'm eager to start riding it as soon as I can fix the carb.

It's funny, the guy I bought it from was standing on top of something to the side and kicking it with his right foot. I've never had a right kicker, so I just started kicking with the left and seem to be doing OK.

My other bikes are Hondas: a CBR600F2 and an RC51.

    Hello All.

I'm an absolute noob but have recently crossed to the dark side  and puchased myself a Husky SMR 510. This thing is a BEAST and really fun to ride.

I've already been lurking these pages (unregistered) to try and sort some issues out with great success. Seems like there are some really knowledgeable people on here so I'll defnitely be abusing your knowledge from time to time ;)

My other bikes all have pedals... :smirk:

Hello, rc51er :) Sorry to hear about your SM running poorly. Ask away in the 4-Stroke forum and I'll bet someone can assist you. Good luck!

Hi, Andy! I don't have an answer for you but we have a ton of TE riders here from all over the world. I'm guessing you might find some answers to your questions over in the 4-Stroke forum

    Hi from new member

I have recently purchased a 1974 CR 125 and have done some resto work with all rusty parts and bolts replaced. Having serious trouble with Bing 84 so lookinh to change over to Mikuni. Any details on this appreciated.

Hello all... I am a Husaberg FE570 owner (please, no shaming comments, I love the bike), but I am looking for something for my wife....

I was an avid offroad rider growing up, until I was able to get a street license, and have been on dual-sports (for not long) and then sportbikes (for 18 years) since.... My wife was never a dirt rider, but took up sportbikes when we met... Long story made short, I'd like to get her out on the trails. I'm thinking small bore, 2-stroke enduro for her... ie: WR/WRE 125 but seat height is an issue with everything. She is 5' tall. I know I can cut seat foam, and can likely get lowering links/have springs cut... Another issue is chronic tendonitis in her left (clutch) wrist. I've seen Rekluse and/or Dyna Ring auto clutch setups available for the WR 250/300's... Does the 125 use the same clutch? Any input would be appreciated, and we are also seeking the same info on the GasGas, so if you have any relevant info/experiences, please offer... Let's face it, the Euro's know how to put together an offroad bike...
    Thanks in advance,
    MyRCRocks

    Hi gang.
Ordered a 2011 TE310 a couple weeks ago, it is expected to arrive in November.
Need to learn about it & get it set up over the winter.
I've had 20-odd motorcycles, the last few have been off-road or dual-sport (DRZ, CRF, XR).
