I picked my Husky up a few months ago, just got the title for it last week. It is an 04 T450 converted to SM.

It is a blast to ride. Going to change oil this week and put some fall weather miles on it.

Hi, I'm new here. First Husky was a 1977 CR 390. Now have a FBF 02 CR 125 and 250. Have had many other husky's also. Found this site looking for info on the CR 125 powervalve kit. Put green and white springs in. Nice improvement for me, less bog if I am in too high a gear and comes on the pipe easier. Has made a great bike better.

Hi I am new to the Husky. I really like this site. I have a 2009 TE450. I am told by my friend who has a cr450r that my bike has no midrange power? I have the dealer instaled power-up kit. Should I buy a Power Comander or Uptite pipe? Or both? Please I want to make this bike fly through the whole power range. Thanks 4DIRT

Your bike should have plenty of midrange power. Have you tuned your FI with iBeat? You can buy the cable and software yourself, or take your bike to a Husky dealer and have it done. Look in the EFI/Carb group for iBeat threads, for more information. It can have a huge effect on performance.

Oh, and welcome to the forum!

*Edit* I'd also add that you shouldn't be expecting the same kind of power from a TE450 that you would from a CRF450R. They are different purposed bikes.

Newbie here. Bought my first Husky back in 78 or so and have loved them all. Currentely don't have one, but I know I will have one again. Here's a list of what i have owned and my take on them...

    76 WR175
Purchsed used/worn out/dog slow. Had it ported to Husky Bulliten and it smoked every 175 I lined it up with.

    78 CR250
This is the one I most wish I still had. The bike did it all- H.S./Enduro/MX/trails. Maybe the best bike I ever owned.

    1984 WR125
Got to put this one together fresh out of the crate. Slow by Jap bike standards, but a great bike regardless. Lots of trails and MX on this one too. Handled great.

    1981 CR125
Now in my "Vintage Career", this thing wasn't far off from a museum piece when I found it. Raced some AHRMA stuff and local TT races against modern bikes and actually could beat a few at the back of the pack. BIG fun. Shoulda NEVER sold it...

    1982 CR250
Good AHRMA racer and very capable of winning in the right hands (just not mine :excuseme:) Another one I should have kept.

Right now I'm helping a young man restore a 77 CR390 and a 250 Mag and sifting through the posts for details.....

    Hello All from Arizona,

Recently purchaced a 1972 Husqvarna 450WR. Bike is in good condition and was once owned by Whitey Martino (Dist 37 AMA Desert No. 1 plate 1970, 71), and of course of On any Sunday Fame. Not sure if Whitey ever raced this bike, but these bikes are to be riden hard and raced, so no grarge queen here. Intentions are to restore as I go. Only major change from stock is a period correct fiberglass desert tank (looks like its been on the bike for a long time).

I am misssing an owners manual for the bike, and would llke to get my hands on a copy, but I have managed in a short time to collect all of the parts and service manuals. Also looking for any special tools need for this bike (I do have a fllywheeel puller).

    Thanks

    450WR

HI, I found your site by accident. I have a 2000 Husky 610 TE. I understand registration for the shenandoah 500 is closed. My son and his cousin are registered to ride the event. Do you think you would be possbile to come tag along on the event?

Just joining the site. I have a 1982 430 XC and and 1985 250 CR. I have seen some great advise and info here as my 82 is under repair.
Im in So Cal and racing has been in my blood since 1973. Started on an old Yamaha 360 MX. Stayed with Yamaha most of my amature career until i got into vintage racing. Wanted a Husky all my life and finally could afford one. A little different than my 4 stroke but seems natural to be ridign a 2 stroke again. Got a couple races under my belt before blowing a piston. So now I'm doing a complete rebuild changing seals and all. Boy are Husky's different inside. Hope to be in touch often.
