    Hi from a newby

Dave from Bathurst. 98 Husky 610 E (yeah electric start, sealed the deal). Thanks in advance for any help I get. A little bit of knowledge can be dangerous but it can also save you a lot of time.

G'day all, another aussie trying to get rid of his DR650 and get a 630.
Tagati pointed me to this forum... and gave me good reasons to buy the 630 (not that I need a lot of convincing)

    Hi guys,

I own a TE250 2005 model, have had it since new. I installed a 300 kit in it about two years after I bought it and it was the best money I ever spent on the bike.

    I live in Melbourne, Australia.

    New to Husky

I grew up riding a YZ 125 in SE CO. Got away from bikes for a long time and I'm just getting back into it for something to share with my 14 yr old son. I bought an 03 Gas Gas EC 200 DE and just finished setting it up for us tall lanky riders. I just made a deal on a new 2009 WR250 that I should be opening the crate on in a couple of weeks. I'm really looking forward to riding trails with my son and friends.

    Evening everyone,

my name's Matt, I live in bristol (UK) in case the name thing didn't give it away. Bought an 89 510 te about 2 years ago and I am finally getting round to trying to get it running, photos to follow - plus lots of questions as its my first 4 stroke bike other than an FZR600 a few years ago and an XL125 back in 1988!

    For the old timers

After joining I went to the old filed HUSKY stuff. I was (and am) a collector of related info of bikes. I have an old dealers workshop manual in a hard copy issued by Husqvarna on the orig. (to USA) 360 eight speed and the same on the 450WR. I cant believe I did not sell it with the scoots. Anyhow, I got back on two wheels to ride with my daughter and SIL by buying a BMW R1100S. Imagine My surprise when I found I had got back in bed with My true love-the one and only for me ;Husqvarna. However , being cheap, I bought the last truely made and designed by Husky peeps without regard for magazine writers or fo-fo riders or evidently profit---My new/used Husaberg. Still got the 1979 Husky Auto though. BTW I love the new technology of helmet cams. They really take me back to the woods racing and now I can see the difference between the RPM of the two smokes and the four strokes.

    Hello

I'm here purely to research my next bike.

The plan is to replace my aging big fat bike with a smaller bike that will do about the same job, minus a few odds and ends.
Current ride is a 2004 BMW 1150 GS Adventure with 160,000+ miles. As this thing as aged with me aboard I've spent a lot of money buying parts that wear out. Drive shaft, starter, seats.

I don't presently ride a lot of dirt, or ride much at all for that matter since I'm traveling a lot these days. The hope and plan is to ride more, but the "replacement ride" will need to fulfill the role of daily commuter. That's about 300 miles per week when I'm in town.

So, basically I'll be lurking and once in a while asking hopefully not too stupid of questions.

I will be a lurker. I ride a 2008 KLR that serves me well, but I am looking hard at the TE630. Every year I do a 2000+ mile trip on the bike that is more than 90% dirt. I'd like a more modern ride than the KLR, and hopefully something lighter and more powerful. But I don't want to give up the comfort of the KLR and the ability to ride 70mph on the highway for long stretches. Also considering the F800GS, the new Triumph ADV bike. And if they bring it to USA the Yamaha 660 Tenere - which i have ridden in Europe and love to bits.

    Good day,

Name is Jon and I live in Johnsburg, IL which is near the IL / WI border.

I have a 04 TE 250 which is down, as I need a head for it.

I do local hare scrambles on the bike and chase my two young kids.

I also have a 05 GSXR 600 track day bike as well as a 2000 Ducati 996 for a street bike.

As a former Husky rider, I hope you all won't hold it against me that my bike is orange!
