    Hey!

Don't have a Husqvarna, considering one in the future.

    I currently have in my stable a 1993 BMW R100GSPD, a 1967 Honda CL90, and a 1953 Indian Roadmaster 80. I'm working on a 1947 Indian Chief bob-job, and my back burner project is to cafe my old, non-running 1977 Yamaha XT500.

I've been riding since 1967. Moto-highlights include rides to Prudhoe Bay, AK; Inuvik and Yellowknife, NWT; the highest passes of Colorado + the tops of Mt. Evans and Pikes Peak; circumnavigation of Lake Superior; a qualifying ride for membership in the Iron Butt Asociation; the high passes around Andermatt, Switzerland; Germany's Black Forest; Dorcet, England (Stonehenge, etc.); A non-racing ride around the TT Circuit and other sight-seeing loops on the Isle of Man; and a wild day's ride a quarter century ago on a 150 Vespa 150E with a hot, young nurse on the pillion around the streets of Rome (still married to her :D).

Anyway, with all the good trail riding we have here in the Pacific NW, maybe it's time for a dirty little thumper.

Plus, there's a great Husky dealer about a mile from my garage!

New to the site. New to forums period! Getting my cherry here. I'm sure I'll be able to use a lot of this input from the Husky community.

Traded my Triumph Daytona 1200 title for title last week for a clean '04 sm450. Not into racing anymore as I broke C1 in 4 places back in '01 in the dirt. Yes, glad to be alive and kickin'! Anyhow, hit the backroads with the Husky and felt like a complete hooligan. Haven't had that kind of fun on 2 wheels in a long time!

Totally different than riding my Duc. A different kind of fun indeed.

Hello everyone! I'm new to the site and think you have a very good forum here. After recently seeing the 630 upclose, I have been considering a purchase. My motorcycle riding experience started when I was 7 years old and received my first bike from my Dad. At 47 years old now, I've been riding for a long time. My current ride is a 2008 KLR650 that I have extensively modified. I also have a KTM 950 Adventure that I am parting out. We didn't end up getting along. I'm hestitant to get back into a eurobike but you guys have helped a great deal with that, by providing great information on the TE630.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

My name is Randy and I’m thinking of grabbing up a 2010 TE 510 from Tri County. My first Husky was 1970, 250 4 speed, left hand kick. Great bike: I raced it in one of the District 37 Great Bear Grand Prixs in the early 70s. I DNF by the way; mechanical malfunctions. The next year I was able to finish it on a 250 Elsinore.

Now that we have established that I’m old; I have a question about break in on the 510. I’m leaning on not voiding the warrantee by switching over to the race map and removing the oxygen sensor but doing all the other “power up” stuff like the throttle, cats, air basket and vapor recovery canister. What is the power difference we are talking about between the stock map and the race map? Once the oxygen sensor is removed and the race map is in, will the FI still adjust for altitude?

OBW, why cant I load my own personal avatar?

I can hardly wait to get it in action, just get rid of those enviromental gadgets, tune the right jetting and changing exhaust plus i'm going to make electrical power delivery much more better to xenon lights...

    Helpful Comments?

    Hello everyone,
I have a chance to purchase a 1985 Husky AE 500. I am told it is a 3 speed automatic. Does anyone know the shifting pattern of this bike? Is it worthwhile to invest in this type of Husky?
    Thanks,
    Quinn
