Midwest Oldguy Hey Guys and Gals, I'm just an old dirtbiker reconnecting with riding before it's too late.I'd love to find an oldschool Husky for a rebuild to satisfy the bucket-list. Looks like you guys got it going on here.
WR 250 Owner (2008) Love the WR 250 for its ride and power delivery. I have a Scott dampener on it, and the older Rekluse slipper clutch. This bike is excellent in the technical and high-speed trails like we ride in these Idaho mountains. Great in the rocky, gnarly, rooted, rutted, log-jammed stuff we ride in up her in the Gem State. Will probably get a new WR300 in Fall 2011. It will definitely have a Rekluse and a steering dampener. Am getting a 19-inch rear wheel so that I can ride it on the track with the daughter. It's easy enough to swap with the 18-inch, and besides, I currently have studs in the 18 rear tire for ice and snow. I put the newer shrouds with the embedded graphics on this scooter. Made it look much better. Still have stock exhaust and carburetor setup. Wish I had owned this bike (or one like it) 8 years ago when I first started riding. I would have gotten along much quicker and easier. Had to go through all the Japanese variants of MX bikes before I got to this type of competition enduro. Love it. Have a great Husky dealer here in Boise, ID - Moto Tech, LLC at 208-376-8324 (www.mototechplanet.com). They are the best. They put the local KTM dealer to shame for customer service. They also sell Husaberg, Gas Gas, Artic Cat, Can-Am, Ski-doo, Beta and Hyosung. A great bunch of folks!
Greetings Hello All, My name is Ron and I am from mid-MI. Very nice site and I am looking to learn about vintage Husky's. I have a 1973 WR 250 that I want to restore as soon as I get this cast off my arm! I am an old guy who rides trails and still like to scare myself on a YZ450f.
New from uk Hi all, First post here - I have a 2009 model TE250. Rode a KTM 200 for years, swapped for a Gasgas 200. wanted something which road like the Gasser and had build quality of the KTM. The husky seems to have given me this while looking amazing. cheers
Hey all, joined a year ago...wasn't a whole lot of activity on-line especially from the SoCal area (desert riders) so I didn't frequent very often (or at all). Great to see how much this site's grown. I recognize a few names. Oh yeah, I ride a 94 WXC 610...I'd post pic's but not familiar with the method on there yet...took me forever on another site, maybe I can remember how the hell I did it there and do it again here. Hah, that'll be the day!
I'm so new, I don't even have my Husky yet! I'm buying it from a buddy in TN. 6-ish hours away and coordinating out schedules is 'interesting.' He managed to have 'oil starvation' issues and I get to fix it. Once I know what I need, I'll post up more info/look for help on locating parts/etc Thanks in advance for all the stoopit questions I'm about to ask! M
Picked up a 2008 SMR510 with a few miles on it. Really enjoy it. It makes me consider selling my sportbike and getting another motard. Of course it'd have to be another Husky.

Hello, I'm a first time Husky owner as of ...today!!! Have lurked on here many times, just now signing up. I now have a 1979 390 OR. Always lusted after the black and gold as a youngster, now finally get o ride one. I haven't been in the mx scene in a long time and this is my only offroad bike amongst 15 or so other British, American and Japanese bikes. I currently live in Norway where I moved from Texas 5 years ago. Hans
New "To Be" Husky Guys Hi folks. My joining the site may seem a little unusual but it made sense to me . . . you see, I don't actually own a Husky yet but there will be at least one Husky in the garage this year, the first for my almost 14-yr old son. He rides/races a KX100 setup for harescrambles and is growing like a weed. He hasn't been on the KX for a year and he already is starting to look big for it so I'm making plans for a new, full-sized bike this year. I'm looking hard at the WR125/150. He's ridden my 02 RM250 2t several times and actually digs his spurs into it so the power of the WR shouldn't at all be a problem (FWIW, the RM has been tamed a bit via pipe and Revloc Dynaring autoclutch, but it's still a 250mx). And seat height . . . he's just about there. Recently he sat on a KTM 150xc and got his tippy toes on the ground, and he could sit with one foot planted, one on the opposite footpeg quite comfortably. Push comes to shove, a cut-down seat would make the difference but I don't think we even need to do that, particularly if his growing rate is maintained. Might need to change springs . . . he's been weighing 140-145 for his wrestling matches as of late, we'll see where he's at when the time comes. Which brings me here, thought I'd ask the guys that know the most about them. I've already been looking around through the posts and read lots of exciting things about these bikes. 'Hope you don't mind a future Husky owner popping in once in a while for a question or two. I CAN tell you that I maintain our bikes right down to splitting the cases for a total overhaul and that will continue with a Husky or two so I'll be happy to contribute in that regard . . . and I state a Husky or two because I think a WR300 would fit the bill for my needs in time!!
Joined today, living in Norway. Have what i think is a 1978mod 390 (cr was told me when i bought it 3 years ago). Cant fint my engine number? Found this site loking for info on my bike. Going to restore it this winter i hope. Have a nice day every one.
Thanks for the Welcome Hi Husky riders, I rode & raced Huskys (15 in total) in the UK during the years 1972- 1992 finishing my racing days with the then new 501 Husaberg. I raced 1972 125 &250 CR , black tank 390`s ,412 /420 then the later 430cr`s a 500 Silver tank, several white model 500`s & 250 cr`s then a Italian made (cagiva) 260WR enduro model. Although sadly I donot find time to ride these days I still keep the enduro & the Husaberg. In my time I travelled throughout europe following the World 250 & 500 Motocross Championships . I witnessed all the greats, De Coster,Aberg,Mikkola,Carlquist ,Moiseev Etc. Winning & Battling for championships on the world stage. And of no doubt some interest to fellow enthusiasts , I visited the Husqvarna factories in Sweden , Both Odeshog & Huskvarna & the Husaberg factory when it was originally in Sweden. I do have some photo`s & experiences I will be pleased to share once I have got used to the site, So until then, Thanks for the web site & Best of luck to all of you in 2011. John Byrne
