New Member TE610 Hello, Jerry in Sac here just checking in as I'm a new member and proud owner of an 06'TE610 that I found on the Reno\Tahoe Craig's List a couple months ago. I really love this bike. All the mods that I would have done have already been done by the original owner. Leo Vince Pipe, JD Jett Kit, and he also had the front and rear suspension revalved and set up by LTR. Prior to getting my Husky I had a 94'KLX650 which I had for 12 years and when I finally sold it had 38000 miles on it. I always thought my Kawi was the greatest DS bike ever and it was a great bike but it's not as good as my TE610. Having a 6th gear makes a huge difference but the handlng, suspension and more abrupt powerband of the Husky is very evident when riding trails up in the Sierra's. Over the 8 month period when I was bikeless and searching for a new one I pretty much had my heart set on a KTM525EXC and even rode a few but I just wasn't willing to shell out the big $'s that they wanted for a bike that had been so used and I'm so glad that I didn't. My Husky is everything I wanted in a bike and more. Thank you Harry K. in Reno, hope you enjoy your KTM690 when you get it (how could you not) and with that said.....I'M OUT !! Jerry in Sac
Greatly appreciate your post. I myself was in a similar situation in early 2006, and bought a 2006 TE250 in part because of the Husqvarna section on TT.
Just signed up to Cafe Husky...great job Coffee Like others, came over from the "other" site, but All Husky, All The Time...now you're talkin' Little bit of info: 51 y.o.,been ridin'/racing(owned) Huskys ONLY for 35 years.Owned a Husky shop for 7 years...I am "trying" to hook up with someone here in Florida to REOPEN a serious off-road shop. I almost left Florida to venture to North Carolina to open the dealership, then housing/economy took a big CRAP. Just sold my sons '06 CR125 and my '04TE450 and '82 XC 430.THE '04 SM 450 is a work in progress .Hope to get '09 wr125 and '09 TC250,but alot is riding on 1 knee replacement and 2 osteomies(straightening out bowed legs). I have some other stuff ,but I've bored you all enough. Have a good day! :ride:Guscycle
Hi everyone! This is a great site. Good people and good info. I am mostly a dual sport rider with lots of dirt bike camping experience. Bought my first Husky from my own earnings when I was a kid in 1979. It was a 1977 WR250 like new. I bought my first dualsport in 1983, a new XL600R with a front disc brake and rear Prolink single shock ...WOW!! Then I rode a few KZ 1000's. Then in 1998 I got back into dualsport riding with a Honda Transalp. Then a new dualsported ( all done by myself ) Honda XR650R. But now I'm on the most wild and fun to ride 2007 TE510. This bike is the best of all my bikes. I'm 6'6" tall and 300 lbs. This bike still halls my arse no problem. I have sm wheeles for it when I'm in the mood. I also was at a local car dealer with a buddy from work and we saw a near new 06 SM610. Well, with all the raving about my bike, he had to buy it and is now working on getting his motor cycle licence. I am also restoring a 1979 WR390.
If you do decide to move, make it somewhere between Raleigh and the islands and you’ve got at lest one customer
huskyfrk 52 years young, back riding after a lllooonnnggg time away. 1st one picked up was a clean used 05 TC - 250 and then went for broke, 06 SMR 450 rr . loads of fun.

Hello Hello Eurofreak here. I hail from the rural western part of NY near Norm Foley. Went to the NE Husky Gathering this fall and met many Easterners including thaigan and the Joe Chod. Currently riding an '04 TE310- had an 86 WR 250 and an '00 TE410. Happy to see a Husky only site! Thanks Coffee!
Hi all, I'm Chris. Recently getting back into riding offroad. I decided if I was going back in the woods after all these years, I needed a Husky. The '05 TE450 is EXACTLY what I needed. Only had it a few months, and a handfull of rides. I'm happy to be part of the group!
Good morning everyone. I have a '08 TE610 and love it. IMHO its the best DP bike on the market right now. It dose everything I want it to and more. I did have a '04 525EXC, but sold it so I can maybe get the 310. It looks like one hell of a good single track bike. Look forward to picking you brains and getting feed back from all of you. BTW......... Thanks Coffee!
Hi everyone, I've been a 2 smoker at heart all my life. I currently own an '06 KTM 300 XCW and an '03 KTM 300 EXC,...as well as my ol' reliable XR400. I had no idea until 2 weeks ago that Husqvarna still made and imported 2 strokes into the US. But it had been 3 years since I bought a new bike, and when I found out about the new WR300 I thought,...Well if a manufacturer like Husky is gonna make 'em, I'm gonna buy one. So I did a dealer search, found a Husky shop about 100 miles away, drove there Wednesday and plunked down a $500 deposit on one. They told me I'd have it by Christmas. "Could be a week,....could take a month" he said. We'll see.... Anyways,...I know absolutely nothing about Huskys except that I drooled over them as a kid in the 70's and Malcolm Smith ruled on 'em. I've got a riding buddy who rides an '07 TE 450, but he doesn't know anything much about the 2 strokes. I know this WR300 is a new production bike for them for '09, so I can understand that I'm not gonna find any history on it, but I'm just super excited and I've got some questions about what it needs, how to jet it, any known flaws that need fixed, or mods that need made. Where can I ask them? Great site! Glad to have found it. Is there a spell checker?,....'cause I'm kinda dumb.
Start up a thread and ask away, main forum for now, there will be a 2-stroke section added at some point and I'll move 2 st threads in there. There should be a little "abc" button near the quote button for a spell checker, believe a download of a spell check 'thingy' is required. I recommend switching to Fire Fox cause it spell checks when you are typing, and a few other reasons.
Sounds good. I'll compose it a bit, so it isn't just aimless ramble, and put something out. Could even turn out to be a starting point for future WR300 owners to refer to. Thanks Coffee!
