Another newbie. I just bought a '08 SMR 510. What a violent bike!

Love the thing so far. I ordered one of those racks from the guy in San Diego after reading about it here.

Me name is withiam and i herald from the northeast of the US of A. Just picked up a 2009 SM610 with 20 miles on the clock. Doing my research so I don't come across as a total "new bee". Spoke with George Erl yesterday (actually he called me). What a resource of knowledge. Looking forward to riding but unfortunately I am recovering from knee surgery. So, in the mean time I can only stare at her and wonder. My wife also rides a motard (KLX250SF). Nice forum!

Hopefully I will soon be the owner of a Husky. I've ridden since I was four and then abandoned dirt bikes for sport bikes when I was old enough to get my license. I've already gained a lot of information from this site and look forward to actually having a bike to put my new found knowledge to use. I will go with the TE line and it's just a matter of deciding weather I want the 310 or 449. Having not had a dirt bike in awhile and never a 450 I'm nervous about the 449. Yeah, I'm a big baby lol. Although I dream a lot about what I'll do to it, it will probably be very little lol. I plan on using it for several types of racing, more or less just to get new experiences on a motorcycle. I would eventually like to go back to supermoto which I had after I was done with the sport bike phase.

    Hello Husky aficionados.
My name is Edwin and live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I recently purchased a 2010 SMR510, and cannot wait for spring to sprung!
Born & raised in France and moved to Canada in 1994.
Bike history: 1987 was the year I got my licence - at 17, I bought a Honda XLS125. Rode the crap out of it, took it on trails and eventually broke the frame. Next was a Frankenbike with parts of the XLS plucked to make an 125XR street legal. Once in Canada, I had a Honda 650 Nighthawk for a while, until I tripped over a British racing green 1994 Triumph Trident in the paper. This bike lasted me a long time and eventually sold it in 2004 to buy a '02 Daytona 955i. The 'Tona is a great and sharp weapon!Bought a '05 Sprint ST 1050 in California in 2007 (eBay is wonderful). Still have the ST, but sold the Daytona for a Suzuki DRZ400SM last summer. This one didn't last long... too heavy, under powered, soft as a ripe banana.. sold it early in 2012, and jumped the Husky 510SMR... there's NO looking back!! This bike is more fun than Lindsay Lohan on a cocaine bender!.. 'nuff said.
I love my SMR, and Huskies are some of the best bikes out there, IMO.
Oh, and Cafe Husky is a wealth of feedback and tips. Thx guys for hosting it.

    2001 TE610E
Hi, My name is chris, I`m 41, have partner of 19 yrs, 2 kids, mortgage and all that clutter. I am now on bike number 15- a 2000 te610e. Black and silver. 7400km. Can anyone tell me if this colour scheme came out in trail-form/ both or have I got a sm converted trailie? I`ve checked the valves, given her a good clean, shes had a oil and filter change, iridium plug, replaced all the indicators which came in a box. Passed MoT fine.

Slow running was shite and the mixture screw had to be all the way out for any kind of smoothish running. So I replaced the pilot to a 60 from a 50 and the main is already a 180 from a 175. Stock dual exhausts with a couple of leaks from the rivets but huge hole cut in air-box made me think the stock pilot was too small. Quite hard to ride slowly with lots of stuttering and missing. Needed lots of choke on start up.

Anyway, I think I`ve cracked it with the 60 pilot with 2.5 turns out on the mixture screw. Going to test ride tomorrow. A few comments- Its the best handling bike I`ve ever ridden. I find it comfortable! Its confidence inspiring and no road surface, corners or quick changes in direction bothers it. I`ve had a
DR400, DR500, XT750 supertenere, XT600 and a KLR650 and the husky wins hands down over those many times over. Makes the other bikes downright dangerous to ride! Heres to happy husky riding!

    Cheers for now,
    Chris

Good afternoon cafe Husky. This is my first post and my first Husky. 2009 WR250, rekluse Z-Start Pro, Michelins, Front and rear suspension revalved, FMF Gnarley, FMF silencer, IMS tank. Just got it and can't wait to get on the trails! There is a tradition of Husky's in my family as my brother raced a 360 and 400 from 1972-1978.

Other than local dealer, where is the best place to buy parts? Where do you get graphics?

    Thanks-
    Clint
