Hi Peeps. Have recently bought one fo the first FI'd TE250s in the UK as a replacement for my CRF230. Reason being I need a Rekluse clutch for it so here's hoping the one I just ordered will fit with a different clutch cover...... Only took the plunge after some reading on here - cheers guys...you know yer onions!
Hey everyone!!! Just picked up a SMS630 two weeks ago, used to own a DRZ400sm but sold that and picked up my Monster 696, missed supermoto way to much, so now I am back at it and having no regrets. Bike already had power up kit, pc5, and full single sided leo exhaust. Hope to catch a few riding buddies on here.
Greetings, Great site / lots of good information. I'm a new Husky 610 owner. I picked up an 06 610 TE and have lots to learn. Sweet bike!!! Now if i can just work out the bugs.
Hello. Owning my first new to me 2004 Husky TC450. I came from the earlier 2003 RFS 525 KTM. The KTM has a fantastic motor, but the poor girl handled poorly and didn't have electric start. I'd go bouncing down the trail and it hated to start after that. SO after kicking far too much, I decided it was time to sell it and I found the TC from a guy that never rode it. SO it's about as new as you can get. Even has an aftermarket kick stand. I'm pretty excited.
Hi, Thought i'd do the right thing and intro myself. I've been ridding and racing bikes since i was 3 years old. For the last 2 years i've been very keen on the Vinduro following in Vic Australia. I love riding my old mans 82 WR430 which he has owned since new We have a heap of old bikes in the shed, we used to race Pre 75 and Pre 80 vintage motocross, but don't ride them that often anymore. We also have the remains of a 83ish TE510 bitsa that we hope to get up and running some day, when time and money allow. I'm looking forward to see what goes on on here, as a few other Husky people from other forums i'm a member of seem to find Cafe Husky very helpful. Thanks Dewy. Oh and also just bought a Husky ride on mower
I'm not sure if I already did this.... Bad case of CRS. New SMR 510 owner here. '08. Had 860 miles. Like new except the rear tire was half gone already. Mostly tinkering with the thing so far: oil change, lose the plumbing junk on the right side. New battery. Kickstand is diabolical. Bike fell over and broke the clutch lever. Had a small backfire that blew off the injector throttle body causing the thing to rev about 5K rpm. Thinking about Maxxis(?) m-40 rear tire, kind of dirt-ish. I'll be around bugging you guys for info.
Hello from Ireland, Just bought a 2010 TE250,looking forward to getting out on it. Trying to load up on info here. Great site.
Hello everyone Currently working on an 84 WR400. Grew up riding XRs. Was an old school 4 stroke guy and did a lot of trail riding on mid 80s XR250-200s. About the time the modern 4 stroke craze took off I got into vintage racing. I run a couple vintage Pentons and an evolution class Maico. Fell in love with big bore 2strokes and wondered what I had been wasting my time with 4 strokes for. Currently do my trail riding on a 94 KDX200. The KDX really isn't cutting it for me so I'm looking to sell it and a dual sport DR350 I don't ride anymore this winter and get a more modern 2 stroke trail bike. Really like the looks of the red Huskies. The Huskies and the Gas Gas's look like the best bang for the buck on the used market so I'm looking to learn all I can about both. Matthew
If you want in person information/evaluation/test rides http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/nw-gathering-round-3-november-7-11-2012.26973/ Feel free to bring the bikes you are thinking about selling...
Wow. That looks very cool. Gonna have a chat with my better half and see if I can make that. Thanks Coffee
Picked up a 2006 TC250 in August. Love it so far! Great info on this site, especially after I dropped the cam drive gear fixing a water pump leak.
I've lurked on this site for a while. I've check it out from time to time. Lately I've been following the 650 thread closely, no dealers anywhere near me though. Until now, I just got word that the dealer I work for will be getting Husqvarna real soon. I'm so excited, can't wait to try a few of them out.
Hey everyone Im Terrell. I just got an 08 sm610. been thinking about getting a SM or DS for about a year. I seen this one on CL and sent off an email, turns out it was someone I rode with. I traded my 07 GSX-R600 track bike for the SM610. Had it for less than a week and Im loving it. I also have a growing list of things I wanna add to it. My new to me SM610 the bike it replaced, with my other bike(06 busa LE) in the background
Hello again I didnt buy the SMR510 because on research you can not fit dirt wheel to the shorter swing arm So I bought a 700 mile 2009 TE510 that has the extra bits already like bash plate , radiator guards, map switch, power up kit I think as the 02 sensor is removed as well as suspension set up for a 120kg rider with heavier springs etc front and rear I wanted a late model fuel injected big bore bikeand looked at a ktm The KTM are seriously over prices in Australia ( the husky cost me 5 grand less than a second hand 2000km 2012 ktm exc and I dont think the ktm is twice the bike the husky is ) The yamaha - well same again overpriced and on paper not as light or as powerful as the te510 Next stage for teh husky is a motard wheel kit - need suggestions for the supermoto front fender What I have noticed about the husky ( as well as a friends 2012 husaberg fe570) compared to my 2003 wr450 ( with motard set up and fmf full exhaust ) and friends drz400sm( with fmf muffler ) is that the ass end of the husky is really really heavy I am 6'2 110kg and I was able to lift the rear of my wr and friends drz at least a foot of the ground and spin the bike around no problems ( by using the grab handle area near the seat )or hold it up in the air no problems However I can barely lift the husky 6 inches of the ground and certainly not move it around Is it me - did I suddenly turn into a 240 pound weakling or are the huskies arse heavy or is it the stock can weighs like 20kg or something like that ? Also - power up suggestions - my wr power wheelied my fat arse in first 4 gears with 14/48 gearing the husky - not really the oooompff of the old carby wr450 So my thoughts are to get a fmf can ( which one ) and a pcv or jd 6x tuner - maybe I need a quicker response throttle? Any suggestions and help much appreciated oh and the stock headlight is butt ugly any one if a late model KTM 500 exc headlight wire up fit on okay ?
Hello there! Northwest UK lad, and have just bought a 08 TE450.
