Hello all, new to the site looking to gain and share Husky tips. Have several: 79 CR390, 05 TC450, and 08 TE 510. Great bikes, look foward to sharing information and stories.
Welcome! Might want to put up an ad in the classifieds here so people can find your ad. People normally don't look in the Welcome thread for bikes: http://www.cafehusky.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=15 Nice!
New member here. I have a 1998 610. I do some dual sporting in the local hills here in Orange County and some in Cibola AZ. Just heard about the site while cruisin TT, thought that I woulds say hi. JR
Blake What's up everyone, My name is Blake Young and I am from central Illinois (home to the INFAMOUS Hall's Cycles!!!)! I am very new to this site (was a transfer from, should I say it, TT). A little background on myself. I race strictly Motocross and have been around the track a couple of times. I won the 2006 Illinois District 17 State Championship Points Series in the 250 A/Pro class (on a Honda that year, boo). After having accomplished that, I was offered an unbelievable program to ride Husqvarna's for the 2007 season out of Hall's Cycles in Springfield, IL. Needless to say, with the vast knowledge of Jay Hall, my determination to succeed, and the help of all my great sponsors (7602, PLEASE help support this growing aftermarket company and let's keep him around A LOT longer making him develop more and more products for these Husky's), I was able to win the 2007 Illinois District 17 State Championship Points Series in BOTH the 125 AND 250 A classes! That about wraps up my success's as a MX rider (not mentioning the B and C class titles that happened years prior which led to this point). I got married to my 8th Grade girlfriend (been dating for 9 years through high school and college) in December 2007 and she is now full-time in Grade school. With her in school and not working, we simply don't have the money for me to race (I don't even have a bike to ride at all) so I am unable to race until she gets out in 2 MORE YEARS!!! I have been fortunate enough to get together a little money over this past year and am now talking with Husqvarna hoping to put something together for 2009. People always ask, but no I do not have my official "Pro License". Although I believe I could get that without a doubt, I just never had the time and especially the money to do the traveling it takes to get it (I have been in college at University of Illinois the past 5 years and just graduate myself, so I was pretty much a broke and busy college kid during my last few years of racing). I know I could get the product/bike support to chase my Pro License, but just don't have the financial funds for travel and entry fees (luckily, my Dad is retired and is more than willing to drive me wherever we need to go - which he has done the past several years). Oh yeah, I have also been an Instructor for Tony D. for several years for his Tony D. MX Schools (in case any of you may have taken it before, or your kids). I could ramble on and on, but will spare everyone's time for now. Thanks and look forward to meeting all of you! Here are a few pics from the 2007 season for fun. See ya (hopefully in 2009 ON THE TRACK and IN FRONT!). Blake Young

Welcome to CafeHusky, Jrandsu Is HB Huntington Beach? I dualsport my `07 SM610 and it's a blast! WoodsChick
What? Is that legal in Illinois?? Sorry, Blake, I'm just funnin' ya! That was the funniest thing I've read here on CafeHusky in a long time Typos make for great reading Welcome to CafeHusky, Blake. We're glad to have you, and good luck with the racing thing in 2009 WoodsChick
That is funny! I always re-read everything before I post it trying to catch any dumb errors LIKE THAT (obviously I missed that one)! Anyways, I had been dating this girl since we were both in the 8th grade (been dating for over 9 years when we got married). Thought I would clear things up so I didn't get into any LEGAL issues..... Blake
Yeah, HB is Huntington Beach CA. Closest hills are about 20 miles away. I eat tires just getting to the dirt. JR
Yeah, that's the one thing I noticed real quick about the 610: it eats tires much quicker than my 450 did for some reason WoodsChick
NZ husky Hi, David here, a new zealand husky rider, I have a 2005 te250 bought new in 2007. This is the first new bike I have had and it hsan't disappointed. Hmm, what else to say, errr well, Hello
Greetings. New to this forum, over from TT. I've had an '06 TE250 (300 actually) for about a year, which is my first off-road machine in about 20 years. In the '80s I raced So. Cal Dez District 37 in the 175 and 250 classes (on Huskies). In addition to the TE, I have a KLR for long-distance off-road trips (e.g. Nevada Black Rock and Baja) and a r1200GS for...well...pavement only. Cheers. Mark.
Hi there....I live on the Gold Coast in Oz... Have just recently bought my first Husky.. she is a TE610 08' model and I got her as i wanted to expand into longer distance riding.. In the past I,ve always ridden two strokes (mostly KTM's...sorry), still have an oil burner for single track stuff.... but found my new girl after running her in from new... still with standard gearing will only go 135 to 140kph. This doesn't seem right to me and was hoping for some input from people in the know... Cheers curlyman
