    introduction

Hey guys, nice site. Been lurking for a couple weeks now, mainly in the vintage forum.

This is why I joined - to get some tips on my little project. It's a 1972 Husky 450WR that I got off my boss about ten years ago, finally getting around to fixing it. He bought it new in 72, rode it a handful of times, then crashed and broke his collarbone ending his riding career. It's still got the original Trelleborg tires and is in great shape, but the carb is too far gone - should be the only thing that needs replacing. Luckily he took the stock alum fenders off when it was brand new - have them in perfect condition as well as the stock side number plates.

    Hi Im Fizz,

bought a 2006 TE610 4 weeks ago, with just 3,500kms on the clock. Too hot to ride here in Australia, so I have been tnikering with it. Have upgraded from a 2004 XR400R.
    I love the electric start!!!

Well, I just bit the bullet and bought a new 2008 TE 510. Any words of wisdom? Got the power-up kit on order. Anything else this bike will need? Thinking of doing some Dualsport rides. Just got a Garmin 76Cx and a roll chart.

I was just about to toss that very same idea out there when I read the post asking about DS rides. Some real good rides in Norcal area, Sheetiron 300 and the Dust Devils Ride Reno 200. Both are a blast and well put on.

    Welcome all.

About to purchase a new Off-Road bike in AUS

I stumbled across this website after checking out the reviews from Australasian Dirt Bike magazine and then followed the cafe link from Rick Ramseys website. I also visited a Husky dealership today and was impressed with the EFI. You see in the State of Queensland where I live you cannot ride a trail bike without road registration and insurance. Thus the comp bikes are out and their road regd cousins do not have EFI Back to the reason why I am posting.
This is my predicament, although a good one to have to be able to do this. I am choosing between a WR 300 2 stroke and a Husky 310.
I am only 175 cm and weigh around 105 kg (I know too fat but hoping the riding will reduce me back to my original 82 kg, I don't know what this is in pounds). Any suggestions ?

Welcome "mhambone" Ya this place is gonna be a ghost forum for awhile.
I have a 08 510 Love the bike. I didn't really get it for DS riding. But next year that might change. And so will the foam on the seat.
I got it more for riding tight single track stuff with a plate.

And yes..there's lots of thing that you should do.
Ya gonna have to use the search to find most.
I'll start look'n and try and post some links for ya.
Not to steer you away from the most excellent forum
But most of the "Must Do's" mods are on TT
if that "Hyperlink" doesn't work you might have to join TT first.
Lots of reading over there .
This forum started up after most had there TE for a while and most
    "must do's" were posted there.

Hi I'm Gibbo. I live in Brisbane Australia where there are plety of bush, forestry and mountain tracks. I am looking at buying a TE310. We need to have road registration for off-road riding here in our State. the Australasian Dirt Bike magazine gave the Huskys a big rap.

Hi, I'm not2husky and it looks like I may be among a very few from the midwest, Wisconsin. Motosportz invited me, as I've gotten several trinkets from him for my '07 TE250 with the Athena big bore kit. If anyone is ever looking to ride in WI, UP Michigan or wants info about one of the greatest trail rides ever (Six Days of Michigan) let me know, always looking for a chance to ride.

    Ready to buy a bike

I am 46 and ready to buy a new off-road bike to ride recreationally in Forest Trails initially. I have chosen Beerwah to do the terst rides with all the dealerships. Beerwah is a national forest in Queensland Australia. Check it out at Google maps.

    Hello to all.

This post is long over due. I am following to many forums and time is too short!

I ride an 08 te610 and love it! I live in the Rocky Mountains, just a few minutes from the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park. If any of you find yourself in my neck of the woods look me up I am always looking for an excuse to ride.
