• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hello!

Just got my 1st Husky. 09' WR300 although I've yet to ride it, so I cannot comment on how much I like it. I also own a few Asian model bikes, both 2 wheels and 4. My true love is woods riding here in the PNW, followed by high desert riding and then moto and dunes round out the mix. Never had a motard, street bike or trials bike. At least not yet.

Been around bikes and quads for the last 22-23 years and I'm a full fledged junkie. Much to my wife's and my wallets dismay. I think of it as cheap therapy and it keeps me away from seriously bad habits.

I'm a serious power junkie, which doesn't always mesh well with my riding locales and style, but I cant help it. Everything I own gets modded, big-bored, ported, polished and pushed to its breaking point. Luckily I've been wrenching as long as I've been riding, so I am able to do all my own repair and assembly. I'm hoping to keep the Husky mostly stock, but I'm probably lying. We'll see after some seat time.....

Thanks for making and hosting the site folks!

I would like to introduce myself. I live near Seattle. I have been a rabid Husky rider since 1981. I usually ride a 99 Husky TE410 but I have numerous older 2-stroke Huskys that I need to finish restoring. Like to connect to other Husqvarna enthusiasts near the Seattle area.

Speaking of "lots," there are quite a few CafeHusky members up in your part of the PNW:thumbsup:

good site...I'm a ktm guy, but would have been a husky guy as well, but CARB shut me out until 2010 apparently. I really feel bad for dealers who are struggling right now, some who have deposits, and can not deliver....oh well, I'm sold on the new bikes and can't wait for my te 510 to arrive...:eek::eek:

Newb

Name is Brian, new to the site. I.....don't have....a Husky....but I want a 310 bad and hope you will let me lurk a bit.

New TE610 Owner

Just picked up a 07 TE 610 with 5000 kilometers on it. I had a reservation on the new 09 KTM 690 Enduro R when it arrived in town but when this used Husky came up I jumped on it. The KTM dealer called the other day to say my bike was in (didn't cancel the deposit) so I went and had a look at it and a chance to sit on it and compare with the Husky. Needless to say, I told him I wasn't interested in the KTM anymore and wanted my deposit back and am very happy with my Husky. Hope it doesn't disappoint me. Any advise would be greatly appreciated as I am a long time road bike rider just getting into the dirt for the first time. I have a couple buddies on DRZ400's that want to see me head first in the mud:D Anyway, love the bike and the Husky community. Thanks for all the great info.

Hi, I live in Sweden 150 km from Huskvarna there the bikes are built until 1987? i think before they been Italians.

I have restaured a 1968 cr250 and for the moment a sc125 -74. (also a Honda 250M Elsinore -74) I have a couple of bikes waiting for good life- CR250 -82, CR125 -93 (Fun bike- it has been i World Champions) a WR125 -94. They models are the same -92 -93 -94 after that they chanched side of chain. I also got an Honda 250 Elsinore from -73.

The SC125 is a very spectacular bike- it has the not so good stuff as- Betor fork and Amal carburator. That was not a success but in these days its very special.

SC is Semi Close....just between the CR and WR.

Thats all about me!

Hey everyone, I've been lurking for a while now and figured I should finally introduce myself. I live in Connecticut and I just picked up a 2008 TE610. So far I'm loving it! I'm 35 now and been riding since I was 7, my two favorite past bikes were my 1988 Cagiva WMX125 and my 1986 Honda XL600R, I think the big TE feels like a perfect combination of those two machines. Well, that's it for now, see you in the other threads!

I am new to the world of Huskys but I have been reading the Husky 4-St forum for the past 9 months. Just picked up my '09 310 2 weeks ago. Got it muddy for the first time today riding around my house and nearby railroad bed. I have been trail riding and racing ECEA enduros as a B rider with below average talent for the past 20 years (11/87 first enduro - last place finisher at Stumpjumper). I sold 2 WR 250fs (one street legal) in anticipation of buying this 310. It is a work of art, almost afraid to ride it. I am also a below average mechanic and I am the master of the self induced problem. Be patient with me, you will usually find humor in my humble stupidity. Looking forward to joining the Husky tribe!!!

Glad to see you made it over here. Sorry I couldn't make it out to ride today but hope you had some fun; how could you not right?

Hey, Eric Pirie from P3/Pirie performance Products. hope to help all you husky folks out with carbon/kevlar bike armor and also I am very impressed with the new model Huskys.
