Hello Forum I've got a 06 SM610 my first Husky but, not bike. I've been riding 22+ years on and off-road this is my first "dual sport" type of bike and funnest I did alot of research prior this purchase and the SM fit the bill. I hope I can contribute to this forum as much info/knowledge I know is available. chopt
Hey fellas and ladies. New 510 SMR owner here in Charlotte, NC. I am an avid roadracing and trackday guy with a Yamaha R6. Missed riding on the street and I'm using the SuMo for an around town toy and this bike rips for an urban assault bike. I've had a few minor issues here and there with the fuel pump pickup failing and the threadcerts spinning out in the frame, but am otherwise very happy with my purchase. I'm looking for a stiffer 6.7kg spring for the rear. Anyone heard of running 4 stroke yz springs? I was told by a suspension guru they will fit the sachs rear on the 08 510 SMR's. Cheers R6addict
Wandered in with the invite from tirebiter! Looks like a great site! I cant wait to start gleaning knowlege about my "new" used 06 TE450. Cheers!
Welcome to CafeHusky, FlbJr I know a few "right coasters" that ride at Thomaston Dam Good luck with the FrankenHusky WoodsChick
Welcome to CafeHusky, r6addict Always thought I'd end up with an R6 as my next bike but I waited too long. By the time I bought another street-only bike I couldn't be physically comfortable on sportbike ergonomics I've taken too much of a thrashing in the dirt After riding an SM, I have no interest in sportbikes anymore anyway Never heard of running YZ springs on a Husky. Usually the complaints are that the Huskys are set up way too stiff! There are a few suspension shops that know the Husky pretty well so I'd start there. I had no problems getting a softer spring from Les at LT-Racing for my SM610. Pose the question in the technical forums and you might attract a wider audience. Good luck! WoodsChick
Hi all, looks like a great site for Husky riders. Just racked up my first 130 km,s on my new 09 TE450. Very impressed with the handling so far after 5 years on a Kato pogo stick. Had an 02 husky 360 before that. Read heaps of info on this site already and found it very informative. Keep up the good work. Cheers Mick Down under in Australia
New to Husky in NJ Finally got my 09 TE450 on Monday and took her out today for her 2 hour break-in ride in the NJ pine barrens. Never owned a Husky before but I needed a replacement for my kick start only 02 Yamaha WR426F. All I can say is WOW!!! Power seems to be everywhere on this thing with the power-up kit. Light, super easy turning on tight single track. I can't wait till I can really open her up Later Wil
Howdy all- glad to have found the site and it's great sponsors! Made the switch from sportbikes about a year ago to an '07 SM610- fabulous bike, and Motoxotica has it running so great. I'm usually lurking the Coast Hwy/back roads/deer trails between Pt. Reyes and Fort Ross. Coffee- are you in the North Bay?
Welcome to CafeHusky, jmesenburg I, too, have an `07 SM610 and you are right: it is a fabulous bike Way more fun than the sportbikes I used to ride. Some of my favorite roads are just north of Fort Ross. The Lost Coast is fun, too WoodsChick
East bay, although several members are in the north bay. For some reason Huskys are popular in the SF bay area
